Possession, 1981 dir. Andrzej Żuławski
one of the best horror movies i’ve seen in ages and both lead actors delivered chilling physical performances. this is how the collapse of a relationship should be done.
the meltdown in the subway was particularly fantastic. a friend shared with me that it was almost all from the first take and that the second take was just in case…
THE RAGE IN MY THROAT SEEKS LIBERATION
‘i long to relinquish myself to the rage-filled scream that’s nestled itself behind my collarbone after 29 years of living in this world’
i had the privilege of photographing a performance by @vacavache that invited me to become well-acquainted with my rage. at the same time, i was reading Lama Rod Owens’ ‘Love and Rage: The Path of Liberation Through Anger’ which showed me the ample wisdom found in anger.
this is a really vulnerable piece. to my queer siblings, i am filled with rage at what we are forced to endure. i love you ❤️🔥
follow the 🔗 for the full post. i’ve decided to make these first posts public so everyone can get a sense of what this will be. for those who’ve joined as members, i am extremely grateful ✨
I nervously, gleefully, and humbly welcome you to DREAMBUSTING ☁️ ✨ It’s the beginning of what I hope to be a dream busted, a dream to build a creative studio that makes work that speaks to community, sustainability, and freedom.
For now, it begins with a space for me to gush about the art, music, film, books, and ideas that inform my work. It will be a space where I try and fail to properly articulate just how much I love the work I do. It will be a space where I invite you to Dreambust, too.
THE GENESIS OF DREAMBUSTING ☁️✨ is the first installment, an exploration of how this idea has percolated over the last year.
Thank you to Olivia Laing, Maggie Nelson, Lama Rod Owens, Wilhelm Reich, Peter Reich, Kate Bush, Nina Simone, Holland Teed, and Lu Testa for the ways they helped nurture the meaning of Dreambusting. May we all Dreambust together in this life ☁️✨
