STOP. Watch this if you’re tired of your glasses prescription getting worse every year. Start doing eye push-ups — just 1 minute a day (30 sec per eye) can make a difference. 💥 Here’s how: ➡️ Cover one eye ➡️ Bring your thumb close until slightly blurry, then make it clear ➡️ Hold for 5 seconds ➡️ Look far into the distance for 5 seconds ➡️ Do this for 30 seconds, then switch eyes This trains your focusing system like a workout for your eyes 💪 Most people don’t know this… but you’re not most people. Be the one who actually does it too. 📎 Save this & tag someone who wears glasses! #EyePushUps #VisionTips #HealthyEyes #FunctionalVision #EyeWorkout #ScreenTimeRelief #MyVisionFirst

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and I think we need to talk about something most people miss. Not every struggle with focus, fatigue, anxiety, or burnout starts with mindset. Sometimes it starts with a visual system that isn’t working the way it should. I see this all the time with people dealing with concussions, functional vision problems, brain fog, chronic fatigue, poor focus, and that constant feeling of “why does everything feel harder than it should?” They’re told they’re stressed. Burnt out. Distracted. Unmotivated. And sometimes that’s true. But sometimes the real issue is that their brain is working overtime just to keep up. Because when your eyes and brain aren’t working well together, your brain has to compensate all day long just to maintain what looks like a “normal” baseline. That invisible effort becomes heavy. It shows up as headaches. Fatigue. Irritability. Anxiety. Poor focus. Feeling behind no matter how hard you try. And because people can’t see it, they assume it’s a mindset problem. They say things like: 👉 “you’re fine” 👉 “just try harder” 👉 “you need more discipline” 👉 “it’s all in your head” But invisible symptoms still have real causes. Sometimes it’s not a mindset problem. It’s a visual system problem. And when you finally find the real root, everything starts to make more sense. If things have felt harder than they should, there may be a reason. And you deserve answers. 👇 Have you ever felt like your brain was working harder than it should? — Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only and not medical advice. Most people think their only option is to manage their vision problems. Glasses. Contacts. Maybe surgery. And if things still feel off? They assume it’s just part of life. But here’s what I see every single day: ⬇️ People who can “see clearly”, but their visual system is working way harder than it should. Their eyes aren’t teaming well. Their brain is compensating. And over time, that shows up as fatigue, headaches, brain fog, and poor focus. So the problem isn’t always clarity. It’s how your eyes and brain are working together. And that’s the part most people never have evaluated, let alone trained. If you’ve been dealing with symptoms that don’t fully make sense, there’s usually a reason. 👉 Comment CHECK and I’ll send you my FREE vision quiz that will help you better understand if your eye-brain connection is contributing to what you’ve been feeling! — Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only; not medical advice. So many of us are walking through life believing our exhaustion, brain fog, overstimulation, or inability to focus is simply the cost of modern living - stress, hormones, poor sleep, or too much screen time. But what if one of the most overlooked drivers of nervous system depletion is something you’ve likely never been taught to consider? Your visual system does far more than determine whether you can read an eye chart. It profoundly shapes how your brain processes the world, regulates stress, supports focus, and creates a sense of safety within your body. In this eye-opening episode of Rooted in Wellness, I sit down with Dr. Appelbaum to explore the hidden connection between functional vision, mental clarity, screen fatigue, learning challenges, anxiety, concussion recovery, and so much more. This conversation may completely transform the way you understand your brain, your symptoms, and your healing. 🧡🎙️ Comment PODCAST and I’ll send you the link to watch or listen.

Imagine how many kids (and adults) have been told they have ADHD without anyone ever looking at how their eyes and brain are actually working together. I’m not saying ADHD isn’t real. But I am saying this ⬇️ I’ve seen so many people struggle with focus, attention, reading, even screen time and the piece no one ever checked wasn’t behavioral. It was visual. Because when your eyes aren’t working together the way they should, your brain has to step in and compensate just to keep things clear and single. That extra effort? You feel it. It can look like trouble focusing. Like avoiding reading. Like your brain just gets tired faster than it should. Not because you can’t focus, but because your visual system is under constant stress. Most people were never taught to look at it this way. But once you see it, it’s hard to unsee. 👉 Comment BLOG and I’ll send you how I break this down in a way most people have never heard before — Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only; not medical advice. Most people think healthy vision starts with glasses. ‼️ It doesn’t ‼️ One of the biggest habits I see in people with strong visual performance is simple: they give their eyes regular breaks from close-up work. Phones. Laptops. Reading. Emails. Screens all day. Your eyes were never designed to stay locked up close for hours without a reset. When they do, your visual system starts working overtime and that shows up as fatigue, headaches, blurry focus, brain fog, and that “why am I so drained?” feeling. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your vision isn’t adding more. It’s stepping back. Looking far away. Getting outside. Letting your eyes and brain reset. Small habit. Big difference. 👏 Your vision is always adapting to how you use it. — Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only; not medical advice. If you’re exhausted by 2PM and you’ve blamed your sleep, your diet, your stress… There’s something most people never think to look at. Not your energy. Your visual system. Not how clearly you can see, but how hard your brain is working to process what you’re seeing all day. Because when that system is inefficient, it creates a constant drain on your nervous system. And that shows up as fatigue, brain fog, and even anxiety. I’ve seen it hundreds of times. And most people are trying to fix it from the wrong angle. If you want to know whether this is affecting you, I put together a quick 3-minute vision quiz. 👉 Comment CHECK and I’ll send it to you. — Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only; not medical advice. Most people hear “20/20 vision” and think everything is working the way it should. But 20/20 only tells us one thing: how clearly you can see a letter on a chart. It tells us nothing about how your eyes and brain are actually working together. Because vision isn’t just about clarity. It’s about how your brain is processing what your eyes take in… all day long. How well your eyes track. How accurately they aim. How efficiently they work as a team. How quickly your brain can make sense of it all. 👉 That’s the eye-brain connection 👈 And when that system isn’t efficient, your brain has to compensate. That’s when you start to feel it through fatigue, brain fog, focus issues, and that “why does this feel so hard?” feeling. So no, 20/20 doesn’t mean everything is fine. It just means you can see clearly. Most people were never taught to look at vision this way, but once you see it, you can’t unsee it. 🚨 Have you ever been told “your eyes are fine”, but something still feels off? ⤵️ — Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only; not medical advice. Most people think reading glasses fix the problem. But I am here to bust that myth — they don’t 🤯 They make things clearer, but they don’t address why your eyes are struggling up close in the first place. So you rely on them more. Your system adapts. And over time, things don’t get easier. Your eyes and brain become more dependent. Because this isn’t just about seeing clearly. It’s about how your eyes and brain are working together. 💥 And if that system isn’t efficient, no pair of glasses will fix it 💥 👉 Comment CHECK and I’ll send you a quick way to see how your visual system is actually functioning
