A building to sit lightly in the landscape, anchored by a continuous stone plinth that wraps around the corners. Openings are carefully composed and positioned to frame views, while the architecture engages subtly with the surrounding trees and water.

Saint Nicholas Cathedral, Nice.
Another pause, another place. Bold colour, layered ornament and a distinctly Russian Revival presence sitting unexpectedly on the Côte d’Azur. Built in the early 20th century, the cathedral is less about blending in and more about asserting identity.
Architecture is usually about ideas, forms, and precedents… but it takes on a different significance when normal life happens. Breakups, losses, or family struggles have a way of recalibrating what matters, and suddenly the importance of architecture — of space, beauty, and the stories buildings tell — hits differently.

High Rise,
A concept for a high-rise residential tower adjacent to a main river within Manchester, inspired by Z.Hadid’s distinctive style, utilizing dark grey & light brown tones. The design features a series of podium tiers defined by the river contours. The upper levels provide opportunity for roof gardens & vegetation, enhancing the building's relationship with the river & fostering a connection to the riverscape. The use of curved shapes creates an impression of flow, that embody the contours and shape of the Rivers passing through Manchester, a transition from rigid, conventional designs to fluid, organic structures, rather than merely juxtaposing buildings along the riverbank, emphasizing a cohesive relationship & responding to the river's current, mirroring its dynamic flow.

Me and my partner make a point to take time off and explore new places. Which whilst I and many others find it easy to obsess over architecture, architecture is about life, not life is about architecture — and the best ideas often come when you give yourself a breather and take in new inspiration.
The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint‑Jean‑Cap‑Ferrat, a Belle Époque pink villa built between 1905–1912 overlooking the Mediterranean. It was designed as a dreamy palace with 9 themed gardens — from French formal to Japanese and exotic landscapes — and filled with old master paintings, porcelain and art collections that reflect a lifetime of travel and curiosity.

This concept sketch marks the start of a new project. It’s a simple sketch, but sketches are a good way to filter the bad ideas out from the good, a first step toward creating a design or a place.
