Mother Earth Goose, Mother Goose Earth!
Every year I make my earth day art piece and write this heartfelt caption, that I don’t know if anyone reads, but it does matter to me - and what you do matters too! 🌻
You think it can’t get worse and then somehow it always does.. but action is the antidote to despair. Nobody can do it all, but everyone has the responsibility to do a little. Corporations should be held accountable, AND that doesn’t exempt me from making the choices and changes that I am able to.
Start composting and carrying reusable daily, it really all starts somewhere 🌱 Eat one less meat meal a week - or cut it out altogether, it may be easier than you expect! Cut ties with AI and Amazon - creativity and thought is the core of what makes us human, and I promise a local shop will appreciate your dollars far more. Small steps bring big change. And for the love of everything VOTE this November💙

“Slice of Light” is a collection of pieces I’ve created to salvage bright moments I find in the midst of the current darker reality of these days. The pieces in the show are my tangible way to seek out and spotlight the glimmers - those little things which add joy to a day. It is often the seemingly mundane or everyday scenes and subjects that hold so much solace.

Abolish ICE
ICE’s reign of terror continues - but so does wave after wave of the care for community across this city.
Lawless, violent, masked fascists roaming these streets are wreaking havoc and creating danger wherever they go. This was never about safety and certainly not about enforcing the law. The fear is the point. The cruelty is sick. The countless abuses at the hands of the federal government are abhorrent.
But the bootlickers and the bots are vastly outnumbered here. ICE is here to incite violence, yet every day the people of this city step up and rise above - feeding those in need, protecting neighbors, and demanding that these filthy fascists get the fuck out. Market recap🌟 back in mpls and had back to back art market weekends!
First up was Twin Cities Maker’s Market - year 2 and wow did people show up to support local makers! ‘Twas an awesome day outside for it too.
The following weekend was my 1st time on the LoLa Art Crawl route - such a neat neighborhood event. Spent two days in the sun selling some art and having some quality conversations☀️
Even with more markets under my belt I never know how it will go ahead of time. It is a privilege to do these and I am grateful for everyone who has ever stopped to take a peek or buy a piece. I even saw some familiar faces this time - your support means more than you know!
And shoutout to my woodworking friend Gabe for helping out - come to my next booth and perhaps you can buy one of his hand carved spoons!
