via Fiddlers Hill and Warham Henge
A pilgrimage of listening, ritual and field recording. the old places, the edgelands, the liminal spaces. Medieval and Neolithic stopping places.
I saw ‘tumulus’ on the map and made a detour to Fiddlers Hill. What a special place!
I cant wait to unpack all the recordings of this adventure into a larger substantial sound work, but it was so great to be able to make these little vignettes each day on the fly using audio and video gathered on my journey.

Equinox ritual on Mundesley beach with 3 of my beautiful conches!
Cassis cornuta, the horned helmet shell
Lambis lambis, the spider conch
Alger gigas, the queen conch
These conches were created from the body of an incredible, fingery-eyed mollusc. Calcification, resonant hardness from flexible softness.
all three species have been hunted to near extinction.
i laid them in the sea, we remembered their mollusc makers.
