The home crew! Really excited for these guys - and another debut performance at Drams! 🤯 Kate, Michael, and Sandra are three good pals who live in Glenelg. They started playing together after singing songs for Sandra's mum Mary one night, realising they had a crossover of musical taste... Heartfelt folky songs that make you want to cry! A little bit country, a little bit old time, all strings, and lots of harmonies. Sandra MacBeth is a Glenelg born singer songwriter and has performed at Drams many times. She is excited to be back on the home stage. Michael Starkey is a member of the transatlantic old time inspired string band, @waywardjanemusic , who have performed in Glenelg quite a few times now. Kate Wieteska is one third of the Drams committee and pretty new to performing. She is hoping that the distraction of festival organising will help with the nerves.

RACHEL SERMANNI @rachelsermanni is a Scottish based singer/songwriter that makes the mundane moments mystical: shock-positive pregnancy tests in train-station toilets, coffee machine breakages, cold river swims, the regret of not saying ā€˜I love You', the moon & how it pulls, bare feet on wood floors, the soft glow of a house plant, ā€˜what even is consciousness?’, strange dreams lingering in quiet mornings… She brims with dreamy indie-folk pop that speaks of the struggle and desire to Flow, to love, to live, to feel. Sometimes, her songs speak of the rare moments of quiet-still, found in the midst of this struggle & desire. Rachel’s most recent offering is her 4th studio album : Dreamer Awake. An in depth assortment of playful and candid vignettes, peeping into life: after birth, after separation and in the wake of recognising the internalised conditionings of patriarchy. She seeks to be honest with herself and her environment. She seeks to express from this raw place. She seeks to speak from the descent, the plateaus, the dream-catchings and contemplations of womanhood. There are no conclusions to be drawn. It is a call to arms, of sorts, to wake up and dream the future, to dismiss the external for a minute and tend to the inner landscape of heart and mind. To not be distracted. To focus on the light and the shadow in equal measure. Since the release of Dreamer Awake, Rachel has become a mother for the second time and continues to explore this experience while offering her songs and also her insights into creativity.

DJ DOLPHIN BOY Dolphin Boy is a legend on the Scottish music scene, having remixed some of the greatest names in Scottish trad. For over 20 years the cult down-tempo producer, previously signed to Tummy Touch records, has never lost sight of his roots and has continued to develop his uniquely witty, smooth and deliciously danceable style. His ingenious blend of remixes and mash-ups that marry funky break-beats with a wide variety of traditional and not-so-traditional samples continues to delight audiences in festival circles, at parties from Rajasthan to Scaliscro and large venues across the country. "DJ Dolphin Boy is a unique entity. He has been an integral part of the positively evolving music scene in Scotland over the last 20 years and has also become one of Scotland’s favourite DJs and remixers. His open-minded musicality and ability to make even the folkiest of dirges sexy means he’s loved by the folkies and jazzers as well as by the hardcore clubbers on the dance floor. Hail Dolphin Boy. We love you you genre busting beat freak!" Aidan O’Rourke (Lau, Kan)

DƀNA @danaceol are a new emerging all-female band based in Glasgow, Anna Robertson providing the local connection to Drams as she is from our neighbouring community, Knoydart! Their name, derived from the Gaelic word meaning "bold" or "audacious," perfectly captures their vibrant sound. They have swiftly made a name for themselves in Scotland’s rich musical scene, winning a Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections 2025. DĆ na features a traditional blend of fiddle, clarsach, whistle, and piano. Over the past year, they've quickly established a strong presence in the Scottish music scene. They have performed at several prominent festivals and events, including Celtic Connections, The Reeling, Belladrum, MOKFest, Under Canvas and Hebcelt. They also won Up and Coming Artist of the Year at the 2025 MG Alba Trad Music Awards, having won a prestigious Danny Kyle Award earlier in the same year. They are set to release their debut album just before Drams, on the 8th of May! šŸ˜ Band Members: Anna Robertson - Fiddle, Laura Penman - Clarsach, Eleanor Tout - Whistle, Alex Wotherspoon - Piano

FALASGAIR Local crew @falasgair are a young, energetic six-piece Scottish folk band from the Isle of Skye, formed in 2022. They released their debut album Just Noise earlier this year and we're also the winners of "Up and Coming Band of the Year" at the MG Alba Trad Awards 2024. The band comprises of Jocky Ross (fiddle/whistles/pipes), Dougal McKiggan and Finn MacPherson (whistles/pipes), Ben Muir (keys), Caetano Hayes Pelletti (guitar), and Eoghainn Beaton (bodhran). We saw them for the first time live opening the main stage at @belladrumfestival and we're blown away by them! You are certainly in for a treat with these guys.
