🚨 Exciting News! 🚨 After the hard work and two years of waiting, *The Last Convoy* is ready for its online debut this Saturday, May 9th! 🎬✨ This independent short film was made possible thanks to the dedication, talent, and passion of over 30 incredible people, including the talented cast and crew. The Last Convoy was a joint effort of Dramatic Combat Finland, Bows and Swords of Elrohir and TR Productions. Welcome March!! ✨ This month’s theme for Fight Sunday is stunt wrecks and rolling! 💪 Time: 29.3.2026 11:00-16:00 Place: Alexander Theatre In this workshop, you will delve into the world of stunts. We will go through the most common wrecks used on film and the best rolls for the stage! Bring pads if you have them and be ready to take some impact (level of your choosing). Fight Sundays are open level workshops thus no prior experience is required, but even if you do have experience, we believe this workshop will be a fun and challenging one for you! Our next theme for Fight Sunday is Shaolin Cudgel! During this workshop we will explore traditional shaolin techniques, weapon handling and a form called Zhèn shān gùn (震山棍) translated as the Mountain shaking cudgel. It is a traditional form from Shaolin Temple taught to Jyri by Shi Decheng, 31.st generation Shaolin Monk. After working with the traditional way we will be playing around and implementing this style into the context of stage combat. The level of Fight Sundays is open and you are welcomed to join without previous expeience. Teacher of this workshop is Jyri Sucksdorff, who has been practicing chinese martial arts for 25 years under several Masters. He is currently training Shaolin under Shi Decheng and Taiji under Lü Baochun. He also teaches weekly with Suomen Wushu Kungfu Seura. Come to test your martial arts skills with us! Enrichen your broadsword (and longsword) play and dive into the wicked world of half-swording! The moment you cannot cut and trust efficiently with a sword - be it that you are in too close distance or the opponent is wearing heavy (i.e. plated) armour – you have to get creative. By grabing your own swords blade with one hand you can turn it into a spear, a staff, a club, a dagger or even a polearm – a nasty wrestle tool and a real can-opener. In this course we are going to explore the different variations of half-swording and how to safely and impressively apply them in a stagefight context. We’ll fight and fall – and have a ball!
