I had the opportunity to take a charge and lead prayers during Cloud of Glory 3.0 hosted by @davidnathan_ile . It was such a divine meeting.
I shared about the famine that plagued the land just when King David returned to his throne after the death of Absalom. Scripture says there was famine for three consecutive years. The famine was so severe that David inquired of the Lord, then God revealed that it was because of the injustice done by King Saul to the Gibeonites.
This shows that a person can be doing everything right, yet still experience difficulty because of unresolved issues connected to the territory they occupy or systems they are part of. People can be affected by the consequences of injustice within a land or leadership structure, even if they were not directly responsible.
It’s striking that God did not overlook this simply because David (a man after His heart) was on the throne. The matter still had to be addressed. This speaks to the importance of alignment, the land you occupy, where you live, and even the covenants and relationships you are connected to carry weight.
As part of making things right, seven male descendants of Saul were given over to the Gibeonites. However, Mephibosheth was spared because of the covenant between David and Jonathan.
This led David to also restore honor by ensuring a proper burial for Saul, Jonathan, and those who had died. It was after justice was addressed and honor was restored that God responded to the prayers of the land.
I also spoke on dominion, how it is critical for individuals to pay attention to the state of their soul while taking on new territories. If you are internally wounded or “bleeding” and focused on taking ground, you become more vulnerable to the enemy. However, when you are whole and committed to the ongoing process of healing, you become far more resilient and difficult to overcome.
Gentle reminder; GOD IS FOR YOU , and GOD IS WITH YOU.
You’re not striving to become your prophecy, you are already your prophecy. Now live like it. Act like it. Walk in it.
Your assignment is not to chase it, but to embody it.
As you do, watch the physical realm align with who you’ve always been. Selah
