On Wednesday, The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim fsi, held a strategic meeting with His Excellency, Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, Chairman of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), to discuss innovative housing solutions for Nigerian women.
The engagement focused on creating accessible pathways for women to achieve home ownership, recognizing that secure housing is fundamental to economic empowerment, family stability, and social dignity. They reaffirmed their commitment to developing collaborative frameworks that will enable more Nigerian women, particularly those in vulnerable and underserved communities, to own homes and build lasting wealth.

This afternoon in Okene, I joined the funeral prayer for the late father of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus, and may He grant the family the strength to bear this loss.
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE PASSING OF FORMER PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI, GCFR
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I extend my sincere condolences to the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the government and people of Nigeria, and indeed the entire African continent on his passing.
President Buhari was a statesman of rare integrity, a patriot who dedicated his life to the service of Nigeria with uncommon discipline, courage, and a deep sense of responsibility. From his days in the military to his tenure as a democratically elected President, he remained committed to the ideals of nation-building, security, and the fight against corruption.
His leadership brought about vital reforms in public service, infrastructure development, and agricultural transformation. His firm belief in transparency and accountability set a new tone in governance, and his commitment to restoring moral values in public life has left a lasting legacy.
In this moment of national mourning, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants him Jannatul Firdaus and forgives his shortcomings. May Allah also grant his family the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss and continue his legacy of selfless service and dedication to the unity and progress of our dear country.
Nigeria has indeed lost a towering figure, but his values and vision will endure.

With a heart filled with sorrow and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I extend my deepest condolences to the Dantata family, the Government and people of Kano State, and indeed Nigeria and the world at large on the passing of a father, elder statesman, philanthropist, and foremost business icon, Alhaji Aminu Alhasan Dantata, who passed away in the early hours of Saturday, 28th June 2025, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at the ripe age of 94.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata was not only a towering figure in commerce and industry, but also a beacon of humility, generosity, and community development. His lifetime of service, charitable acts, and economic contributions left an indelible mark not only in Kano but across Nigeria and beyond.
As a pioneer industrialist and an uncle to Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, he stood as a patriarch of vision, enterprise, and spiritual devotion. His passing marks the end of a golden era, yet his legacy will live on in the thousands of lives he touched and uplifted.
We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants him Jannatul Firdaus, forgives his shortcomings, and rewards him abundantly for a life well spent in service to humanity.
May the family and the entire nation be comforted by his enduring legacy, Amin.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, mni, at the Federal Road Safety Corps National Headquarters in Abuja.
Our discussion centered on building a productive partnership between FMBN and the FRSC, with a key focus on providing affordable housing solutions for FRSC personnel. I commend the Corps Marshal for his visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of his officers. We look forward to turning this collaboration into impactful outcomes.
