Mind your Poisture!!
Have you been going about your flow, and really began feeling it in one plane and continued in that plane to later wonder why a certain area near your shoulders are aching instead of your entire shoulder? Or that spot in your mid back that makes itself known after your fire performances? Our bodies will start adapting to whatever positions easiest to continue working in that plane, and we only feel it after our flow session.
It isn't the end of the world if you hunch forward while spinning or tend to have your shoulders flexed in front of you. But do be aware that the longer you stay in that posture, the more your muscles will adapt to it. And the more strecthing/ massage your body will need afterwards.
In this example, I'm using poi and spinning in front of me (wall plane) to demonstrate some postural tendencies our bodies will start adapting to. Please note, I did overexaggerate on my part. I've only really seen 1 or 2 people spin similar to this, and they flowed well! Regardless, please do your body a service and mind your posture as your spinning!

Beach time 🏝️😎
No better way to end the trip than with a beach burn!! A bit late but here's a quick vid of me spinning fire at a beach on the eastern side of Australia.
The only complaint I really had was the 15 hour flight, which I managed to survive. Everything I got to experience was amazing and seemed almost planned. From spinfest, to random interactions with locals, to munching on some kangaroo jerky, it was all such a treat. One thing I'll miss and think about a lot is the 85-95 F weather we got to experience in brisbane ☀️🌡️
Overall I'm grateful for the experience, the connections made possible through love of movement, and the lifestyle that allows me the opportunity to enjoy these adventures.

Travel update: we are heading out of Brussels and on to Calais France! We are doing work bringing Circus to the refugee camps out there, proving props, coaching, and some shows to bring some joy and movement medicine to the families stuck there - with enough time ill hopefully be sharing more about this too 🫶
