36 days later… That’s how long it took me to put this post together 😂 But inspired by sister @bozrna ’s post last week, it was just the push I needed to finally create mine as well haha. What can I say, @funkfusionjam was really special this year. I was there last year as well as a competitor… and boy the growth this jam had in just 1 year… still insane for me to think about. Only 2 years in this organising game @aris_zafeir & @bingo_wvmts and to pull this off the way they did is definitely not easy. And since I’ve been taught to “give props where props are due” and simultaneously learning that there are “no easy props”… Well, I think you get it. Much love and respect to them for what they’re aiming to create in the Greek/Athenian scene. Something that’s missing and been missing for a while now, at least from my point of view. (But don’t take me too seriously, who am I anyway) Both in terms of vibe, and quality, but also in terms of organisation, the schedule being pretty on point, and so much more. The care and heart they put into this jam can definitely be felt. This year I’ve been invited to DJ for the party and the main event/battles/cyphers, etc. It was a huge honour and a blessing for me to be able to do this alongside my brother from another mother @amazemeone 🙏🏼🍓🎶 We’ve been doing this together for quite a long time now through @strawberry_jam_cy so the chemistry and connection I must say is impeccable! 🍓🚀 It was my first time spinning for an international jam and I wanted to bring some freshness in the game. Something important and very meaningful to me was when I got to play @scaarmander ’s track in one of the battles. Bringing Cyprus 🇨🇾 to the international scene in another way, apart from repping in jams etc. I felt the same way for @djrawkuts and @detro.mc track I also played. Definitely still a lot for me to learn, there’s so much depth in this art form, it gives me so much inspiration to keep learning and getting better! 😤 So thankful for this journey and all it’s teaching me. 🙏🏼 Lastly, if you’ve been thinking about coming to FFJ, I highly recommend it! Thank you to all the amazing people I connected with. ✨

🤓 Studentopia 2026 🤓 The last 2 weeks of April have been very special with @studentlife.com.cy spring break university events called Studentopia 🎓 Was blessed with the opportunity to spin the music for some showcase battles for the entertainment part of these events. We were there at 3 universities: @universityofcyprus @cyprusuniversitytechnology @universityofnicosia Having the freedom to play whatever I wanted (which is a different kind of blessing in and of itself), of course I chose to play some CYPRIOT HIP HOP, among other things of course. (But IG only allows 20 slides in a carousel so that’s what I choose to show you 💁🏼‍♂️) Because we rep this thing wherever we go, all day, everyday, even on a Sunday. 😎 And we wanna always rep it right, don’t we? 😎 with the respect this art form and culture deserves, even on this tiny island called Cyprus. (And even if no one there knew wtf they were listening to haha 😂) Jokes aside, we had a great time with some of the best dancers on the island bringing the VIBE! 😤 Big ups to @domni_lockdatduo @rot.tuna @dancewithsoulww @its_zulu.ch @collinsswit @onoufriouchristina 🙌🏼 And to @_stelios.petrou_ @thebraincounsellor for hosting that last event. 🎤 Thank you to all the students who brought their energy as well and to @studentlife.com.cy for having us of course! 🫶🏼 @chrisdidas you’re a rare one. The year was 2012. I was still in the army, close to reaching half of my 2 year mandatory service. I was almost 19 years old at the time. We flew over with the crew (Bassick) to represent at @battleoftheyearbalkan , which was huge for us to do back then. The night before BOTY Balkans was the Red Bull BC One Greece Qualifier. A competition, of course. Before the battles begun… There was a small spot right under the stairs leading to the stage… And I somehow had found myself sharing a cypher with @djrawkuts and Pyroh! That was my first encounter with Pyroh and the energy we exchanged in that small cypher stays with me TO THIS DAY!!! Probably the first time I felt the realness of a cypher, and I was still trying to figure myself, my Breaking, my style, and direction out back then. That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship with our brother Pyroh. 🫀 That same night, my brother @zyro_bsk known as Sharky back then made it to the Top 16. And guess who he ended up battling? @pyroh_blackout 💎 (who was with DeadPrezz back then!) Since then, every time I danced with Pyroh, he would always tell me how much he enjoyed seeing me dance. How much he enjoyed seeing me feel the music and truly dance. And I always appreciated him for doing so. I’m sure you’d enjoy this round as well my brother. ❤️ and you’d be proud of me. 🙏🏼 I also remember our deep conversations we had over the years. What I always admired about him was that he was also an intellectual beyond the street life and the dancing. Which to me is actually extremely rare to find. Pyroh was that rare to find! Yet the kindest sould you’d meet! ✨ He also had this calm energy and presence, and an openness that made everyone feel comfortable and safe around him. Heck he was like 10 years older than me or something and I never felt intimidated or unable to talk and connect with him. I still have a lot to learn from you my brother, and hope that one day I can reach that level of peacefulness you embodied!
