This is what it looks like …When you and your dear friend of 46 years decide to meet in NAPA for lunch! ❤️U Laurie Herraiz… next stop—- road trip EAST COAST!
From October 9 to December 31, I was given a true gift —performing in a show I didn’t know I needed, living in a city that cast a lifelong spell, and working alongside a beautiful group of artists and theater professionals I will deeply miss.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a magical journey, infused with love and lessons of acceptance, tolerance, and the power of community and belonging.
The unexpected bonus was reconnecting with dear old friends along the way—friends who welcomed me into a new “West Coast family.”
Thanks to The Old Globe Theater, James Vasquez, music department, cast and crew for the magical experience… it was a blessing, and one I hope finds its way back to me again someday 💚💚🎄
Here is Old Max - and Young Max too,
No tears! No fears! They powered right through!
Seventeen shows in nine short days—
Zip! Zap! Zoom! In a whirl and a blaze!
So Merry Christmas to one …and to all,
With curtain calls high and spirits tall! 🎄
The next-last push is knocking—oh yes!
Ten shows to go! Can you guess? Can you guess?!
With six whole days to sparkle and gleam,
We’ll huff! We’ll puff! We’ll conjure up DREAMS!
Now onward, beyondward—no slowing our pace,
It’s time to make magic all over the place! ✨
Although being away for the holidays has me tremendously homesick… There are so many moments of gratitude! If you’ve gotta be away from Family, San Diego is the place to be! Especially when your dearest friends fly in for a visit!… Just a couple photos to embrace the grace! New Friends/Old Friends/Dogs & Beach- so much to be thankful for!
