We shot a very basic proof of concept pilot,with my amazing friend and collaborator, @allfog for fundraising purposes last year, and now, that we have some fundraising...
We want to hear from families (Parents & Kids!) and educators so we can develop the perfect adaptive physical education video content for kids of all abilities, that fosters physical health, confidence, and belonging, while teaching essential social-emotional skills like empathy and inclusion.
Our listening sessions will be small, one-hour virtual group sessions.A $40 Stipend will be provided for participation.
What we hope to learn:
How kids with physical disabilities experience PE & movement
What feels empowering and what feels exclusionary
Where belonging is happening and where it is missing
What truly accessible movement should look like.

Happy Birthday, Monroe. Our “big little lady” (as she likes to be called) is officially 3 years old. The best big sister and caretaker (“Mommy Mo”), you bring a smile to everyone’s face, especially your little brother’s. There have been so many firsts this year, including starting school, and you have continued to grow, shine, and make us proud in every way.
You know exactly what you want. You like to know the plan for each day…“Mommy, where am I going when I wake up?” (a bit of a control freak, hmmm…I wonder where she learned that?) and you have the best ideas. You make every day and everything more fun.
My ballerina, sous chef, best friend, duet partner, and Daddy’s Ravens watching buddy who seems to understand football much better than her mommy already….we love you so much!

This is such a beautifully told story, and as a former bat mitzvah girl who was still playing with dolls at my bat mitzvah myself...this whole story, and the aesthetic of being stuck between being a “kid” and a “woman” as a tween, feels so real.
