Three of our projects have received the Green GOOD DESIGN 2026 Award in the Green Architecture category; each recognised for their commitment to sustainability, heritage and civic good. They are:   𝗢𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝟯𝟯𝟯 Situated in Singapore’s historic civic district, this redevelopment project presented an opportunity to rethink site- and typology-based perimeters. Our architectural scheme, which adopts a civic-minded approach, resulted in a commercial frontage that prioritises urban continuity and community connectivity while embracing environmental sustainability.   Architecture Design Team: Angelene Chan, Leonard Cheok, Elsie Ong, Chong Mei Yan, Yew Ze Neng, Foo Wei Min and Yong Hock Seng    Landscape Architect: DP Green   Photography: @kirstuvwx     𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗲𝗼𝗸 𝗡𝗲𝗲 As the only remaining traditional Chinese mansion architecture in Singapore, our adaptive reuse of the House of Tan Yeok Nee was a design exercise in restoring and revitalising an underused historic house as a valued piece of urban heritage. This involved a significant change of use from a private school into a family office with a heritage gallery, a cafe and an omakase restaurant.   Architecture Design Team: Chua Zi Jun, Angelene Chan, Shawn Teo, Jiang Wenhuan, Leonard Cheok and Chong Mei Yan   Photography: @darrensohphoto     𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲 The new Central Manpower Base (CMPB), standing as the nation’s first touchpoint for every citizen entering National Service, holds deep emotional significance. A place where individual journeys meet collective identity, we reimagined one of Singapore’s most symbolic civic institutions; translating its traditionally bureaucratic process into an experience grounded in belonging, dignity and transparency while delivering an architecture committed to long-term operational sustainability.   Architecture Design Team: Ng San Son, Lim Sheau Miin, Tay Kai Loong, Jireh Lee and Melvin Tan.   Sustainable Design Consultant (DP Sustainable Design): Yong Siew Onn   Photography: @melcasss

Reminiscing the early days of the project, DPA director and architectural lead for Plantation Village, Ar. Chin Thoe Chong shared with a note of nostalgia, “The RFP required the planning and design of a precinct with a commercial centre within the new township of Tengah which is mapped out on a grided framework layered with people and green connectors. Interpreting the brief, the young team really enjoyed the journey of discovery in our architectural exploits during the competition stage… And we were excited to be shortlisted for the limited competition.” Today, as Monocle reports in its latest issue – The Monocle 100: Premiere Edition, the housing estate is much loved by its residents. Bold and differentiated, the vision for Plantation Village was realised through a thorough understanding of the Housing & Development Board’s (HDB) agenda and deep interdisciplinary collaboration and knowhow.   Meet the lead architects, landscape architects and ESD engineers that make up our multi-disciplinary team for Plantation Village.   Shout out to alumni who had contributed to the project and helped make it the success that it is today:   Architecture Design: Serine Chan, Lemuel Hernandez, Lydia Fok, Kenny Foo and Marcus Foo. The story of Plantation Village is one of community and continuity engendered by urban design and planning strategies that sought to create a deeper sense of belonging and neighbourliness, and to intensify its green infrastructure for improved liveability and sustainability.   These strategies, jointly conceived with our specialist arms in landscape architecture and environmentally sustainable design, DP Green and DP Sustainable Design, include:   • The implementation of green building systems such as solar-ready roofs to harness renewable energy; Urban Water Harvesting System for irrigation and cleaning of common areas; and, the Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System for lowering carbon footprint through a centralised garbage collection point. • The thoughtful and generous provision of shared public realm, and • The integration of urban green under the Housing Development Board’s (HDB) Biophilic Town Framework to create a “nature-centric neighbourhood so that residents can connect with nature and enjoy its intrinsic value”.   Articulated through a courtyard design concept, Plantation Village features wide open spaces such as the Precinct Heart; the Common Green with its expansive network of tree-lined, universally accessible pedestrian pathways; and elevated quadrangles with landscaped decks and provisions of benches, trellises and facilities for social activities. These open, breakout spaces create a sense of being immersed in nature while functioning as an extension of the “living room”, inviting residents outdoors and creating opportunities for cross-interaction and communal bonding.   Architecture Design Team: Ar. It was an evening of thrills and triumphs for our landscape architecture specialist, DP Green, at the 14th edition of the Singapore Landscape Architects Awards (SLAA) Gala, which for the first time, was held together with the NParks Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF)! Three of their projects have been recognised: • Rainforest Wild ASIA clinched Gold in the Parks & Recreational Landscape category and awarded LEAF Platinum The landscape architecture scheme evolved and advanced the initial landscape scheme by Grant Associates. Conceived in collaboration with Mandai Wildlife Group, our approach was rooted in a deep respect for Mandai’s natural heritage and supported by research-based knowledge to create authentic habitats for wildlife and an immersive landscape experience for visitors at Singapore’s 5th zoological park. Design Team: LAr. Yvonne Tan, LAr. Law Han Wen, He Ye, Matanand Sripan and alumni LAr. Shiela Carelnina. • Plantation Village and Plantation Farmway received Gold in the Residential Landscape category Situated in the heartlands of Tengah’s Plantation District, the project was a design exercise in place-making and community living through a richly nature-integrated development that encourages residents to venture out and foster opportunities for activity and connection.  Design Team: LAr. Yvonne Tan, Iffa Abu Jalal, LAr. Tay Kwang Liang and alumni LAr. Shiela Carelnina. • The Standard, Singapore took home Silver in the Hotel & Landscape category The sunken courtyard at The Standard, Singapore, is one of the hotel’s best-kept secrets, and its concept sparked our imagination. Building on The Standard’s distinctive brand identity and experience, we collaborated with the architecture design team at DPA to craft a whimsical wonderland, characterised by both fantasy and function, revealed in layers that offer moments of pause and play.  Design Team: LAr. Yvonne Tan, Poornima Bargotra, LAr. Tay Kwang Liang and Akif Azaman.

Our approach to the refurbishment of Odeon 331 (formerly, the Odeon Towers) is about bridging work and play, commercial and community. The goal, beyond simply renewing an old commercial building, was to reintegrate it into the urban fabric, where it may generate socio-economic value.     A close study of the site and context revealed an opportunity to reimagine the standard workplace lobby as an activated third space. Boldly, our design proposed transforming the once-enclosed lobby into a naturally ventilated through-block linking Victoria Street, North Bridge Road, and Bras Basah Complex. Breezy and open, it improves visibility and urban connectivity to the surrounding food and commercial offerings.     An urban park concept is layered on top of the through-block link, further extending the indoors outward. This introduction of greenery, playful street furniture and warm timber hues into a dense urban site provides space for a moment’s respite—whether taken alone or in community with fellow workers—enhancing wellbeing and fostering camaraderie.     Officially opened this year, our redesign of Odeon 331 has simultaneously reintroduced the commercial development as modern and dynamic, and created a versatile space for all.     Interior Design Team: Allan Wang, Jared Ng and Reynaldo Castillo  Architect: DP Architects Photography: @finbarrfallon

It is double happiness for us at this year’s Singapore Good Design (SG Mark) Award, with two projects by our specialist arms in #landscapearchitecture and #interiordesign emerging as winners in their respective categories. Punggol Green by DP Green, won the coveted award in the Architecture category. The project, located beneath the viaduct of the Light Rail Transit at Punggol MRT, is the first of its kind in Singapore and was recognised for its delightful transformation of this previously unutilised space into a wonderful 500-metre-long linear park. Firmly grounded in #peoplecentric principles, Punggol Green is the result of close #communityengagment with residents and stakeholders, further instilling a #senseofbelonging and ownership. Contributing to a walkable and liveable city, the space establishes itself as a #socialspine that brings the community closer through #activeageing and #playfullearning. Beyond offering access to nature, Punggol Green also #enhancesbiodiversity. Odeon 331, designed by DP Design, won the award in the Spatial Design category. The project is part of a larger #assetenhancementinitiative for Odeon 333 (formerly Odeon Towers) with DPA and was a delightful experience to work on. We are thrilled to see that this joyful creation has been well realised. In response to the brief for a renewed lobby, we reimagined it as a vibrant #thirdplace where work and leisure intersect. Open and #naturallyventilated, the space is inviting and porous, enhancing the visibility of and access to existing amenities and F&B stores. Timber elements and greenery create an atmosphere akin to an urban park, giving the lobby a #senseofplace and arrival. Conferred by the Design Business Chamber Singapore, the SG Mark is a recognised standard of design excellence, celebrating innovative and purposeful design that creates meaningful impact on businesses and communities.

It was a triple win for us at the recently concluded CREDAWARD 2025 as we took home one Merit and our first two Gold Awards. Pullman Singapore Hill Street – clinched Gold in the Comprehensive Commercial Project – Brand Hotel category for its brilliant abstraction of Pullman’s brand narrative and spirit of place into a unique hospitality experience. The project is the first of the Pullman hotels to fully embody the brand through design, featuring interiors with a distinctive George Pullman train-inspired theme that harks back to and immerses guests in a time of vintage locomotives. Bukit Canberra – won Gold in the Social Public Project – Community Centre category. Our architectural scheme for this large-scale community, sports and lifestyle development impressed with its commitment to establishing harmony between social and ecological systems by regarding the environment as an equal stakeholder, for better-than-sustainable outcomes. These include long-term community cohesiveness, social wellbeing and ecological resiliency. GET SPACE – secured the Merit award under Comprehensive Commercial Project – Mixed-use. CREDAward recognises the project for its creative approach to land value maximisation within a site with tricky constraints and its community-forward design strategies to yield greater social capital. GET SPACE’s story centres on introducing a differentiated approach to land value maximisation and reimagining how a building relates to the city street to yield greater social capital. Its design began at the intersection of a brief that called for mixed-use programming and a site with tricky constraints. Situated above an existing Mass Rapid Transit station on two parcels of longitudinal land, approximately 600m long and 30m wide, with a height control of 100m, it required a creative workaround, which led to our exploration of the concept of “horizontal” skyscrapers. What resulted is a playful “stack and slide” of volumes that set the building’s masses and voids in interesting dialogue in conjunction with its urban surroundings. It also opened opportunities for creating continuous open street blocks, multi-level platforms and sky decks that support social activities and replenish green spaces. This includes integrating a 600m-long canopy shelter at podium level—a “second ground floor” of the city that functions as a semi-outdoor public realm with all-day access. These community-forward design strategies, combined with flexible programming, lend GET SPACE adaptability and accessibility that appeals to both businesses and visitors alike, thereby generating social and economic value for the Guangzhou Science City district. In recognition of its push for generative outcomes, GET SPACE was awarded Merit under the Comprehensive Commercial Project – Mixed-use category at the recently concluded 2025 CREDAward.
