Painting our precinct, one brushstroke at a time 🎨✨Part 1
Today, we kicked off the Merdeka 118 Community Mural Project at Jalan Hang Jebat with our Merdeka 118 Community grantee artist ‘Pak Lan’ of Dipapansembilan Studio who will sketch and lead the mural painting with our community friends.
Volunteers from PNB and PNB Merdeka Ventures are getting the mural ready for participants to paint during KL Festival from 16–31 May. Come through, join in, and leave your brush stroke on our precint!!

DESIGN STATEMENT
The main building block is oriented to the most optimal space that can be used for classrooms while allowing external wide corridor to become their extended learning space. The size of classroom is designed for flexibility depending on methods of teaching and usage.
The surau that faces Qibla and the landscape above it create a juxtaposition with the utilitarian main block and makes it an interesting new space for the children’s outdoor activity.
Designed with optimal sunlight, natural ventilation and using raw materials as finishes while blurring the indoor and outdoor landscape shall help to nurture in children the appreciation and sensitivity towards natural surroundings.
The pupils may have been born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but they should be taught to stay humble in the eye of The Creator and His creations.
