Wakeboarding at The Projects was some of my favorite memories. @patrickpanakos was in the background of so many things that happened in the sport. Pat was never looking for the spotlight, but provided some of the craziest rails and stunts that wakeboarding ever had. Besides all that, Pat is just an awesome human. Love you Pat!!

2025 had and fun summer boys getting after it abit and trying out a wakeboard as well as the skate. Didn’t ride all that much but worked on some new stuff. Want a new flip trick down the gap for year 45 on this rock. What one was closer frontside flip or hardflip? Hahaha. Boys both got their goals and Hux wants the rail next summer. Ryan got a new trick and I landed the kink rail when the water was at its lowest all time. On to snowboarding I guess see you next year. #summer #wakeskate # shred #life. @rewinch

I’ve been in a state of shock and disbelief over the past week like many other people, the news of wakeboard legend Randall Harris’s death has struck us all to our core. My heart goes out to his family, his daughter and his close friends inside and outside the wake community.
I was fortunate enough to get to know Randall beyond his larger then life presence in wakeboarding when we traveled and filmed together for the @sidewayzfilms team film Transgression. I came to the wake scene late struggling with self esteem and a desire to live up to the life around me. Randall and I had some deep conversations where, to my shock he expressed similar feelings. He helped me realize that everyone battles with their sense of self and all we can do is stay true to our believes and live everyday as a student of this world striving for the best version of ourselves. Randall was the best. When we went skateboarding he was the best. When we busted ninja flips he was the best. When we walked the street people would gravitate to him. He had an aura that even people that had no idea what wakeboarding was would still notice him and think he must be a rock star or movie star or something. He inspired a sport to become cool and was unwavering in his approach to holding it accountable for it. After filming wrapped Ronn asked us to do some write ups and answer some questions and he posted them to the website. I read through them all smiling and laughing until I got to the first picture of this post. When asked “what part stands out to you” Randall who’s part would go on to win video part or the year and cement him the win for 2007 rider of the year and who everyone else involved with this film was talking about, said somethings about me that made my heart swell my eyes water and my sense of self seem understood. He was a hero he was a friend, he inspired all who met him and changed the lives of those who knew him. I was lucky to get to know him through these years and will never forget him or all the fun times and talks we shared. This weekend June 28th Brostock is back at lake Lanier GA. They decided to remake a classic rail from the past (20+ years) the Relentless Rail from The Projects Florida. So I thought for this @wakeskatewednesday I would dig up a few old shots on the original Relentless Rail and I challenge anyone out there to post some old shots of this rail if you got them to get the riders hyped to shred this weekend. I’m super stoked to see some sick combos and variations from the man himself @danielgranttt can’t wait to see the footage from this event. #gowakeskateday. Late as always but we had a great gowakeskateday on June 20th. The boys took their first sets of the year and pick up right where they left off. It’s hard to explain pushing and cultivating challenging dangerous things in your kids lives. It’s hard to push them to try something beyond what they believe they can do and watch them fail, get beat up and slip mentally into a place of CAN’T. It’s hard to find the words to bring them back to a place of “CAN” and help them realize that can might just be a few more fails away. But when they learn to believe they can and start replacing fear with courage… you get reactions that fill your soul like nothing else.
Sometimes I push to hard and I loose them back to the safe parts of life, the easy, common things. But these things are the filler, the white bread of life they have no nutrients for the soul and self esteem. So they come back because they are beginning to believe that everyone dies but not everyone truly lives.

Last summer was the craziest summer the stunt has seen yet. So many great riders so amazing to edit all the footage somehow our little crew video got shuffled to the back of the line and forgotten about. After the first set of the year I figured I better get it edited so we can start shooting for 2025. As usual the boys only take a hand full of sets but always have a good time and get a tiny bit better each year. Inspiration came thick this year and was motivating for us to be surrounded by such talented riders, up and coming and in their prime. #wakeskatewednesday #water #summer #life

Really starting to find his stride loving jumps, obstacles and the woods trails. Rode the face got his first grabs I was starting to have a hard time keeping up. This winter has been a long one with more than our fare share of snow. But we found ways to still have fun and experience new things. I think this was a bucket list thing for me to sleep in an igloo. Building it and doing it with my son made it one of the funnest things I might have ever done. The co-op game list and old school ninja turtles probably help the fun factor a little. Toasty and warm all night we might make this an annual thing. #winter #igloo #life #outdoors.
Earlier this summer my youngest son and I got into watching Thrasher My War videos. Watching the bails and listening to the stories behind the tricks was very motivating and got us all pumped up. We started talking about what new tricks we could do on the stunt for 2024. Last year I landed a front shuv out of the kink rail so this year I thought why not do a back shuv out. I’m not riding very much these days so to get a new trick I knew was going to be work. Over the next two days armed with the motivation of the Thrasher videos and Huxton there telling me “you got this” I slowly got my body woken up and started getting close. I put my feet on a bunch but couldn’t get a clean ride away. So I stuck a backboard to back lip to make me feel a bit better and get a good ride away feel. Well it must have worked because right after I finally stomped the back shuv out and it felt great, even greater going through the process with my son feeling and being apart of the battle. I’ll do an edit and include Huxton’s new tricks he went after. First slide start and full pull across the bottom pond. DANIEL GRANT PART 1 VS PART 2. I’ve been trying to figure out how to edit and do justice to all the footage from the three incredible days @danielgranttt rode my backyard. The energy, the NBD’s, the sheer volume of tricks still has my head spinning. Daniel Grant has always been one of those riders that makes everything look so good, so fun and all of his trick variations on obstacles showcases wakeskating in a way that truly seems limitless. I decided to break down the footage into bottom pond Part 1 and top pond Part 2. Tell me what part you liked the best in the comments and share with someone that is a Daniel Grant fan!!!
