My TED Talk was about how we create and how we can do good while we do it.
I grew up surrounded by stories. Tarkovsky. Singin’ in the Rain. Star Wars. They taught me joy, chaos, and that stories connect everything. Naturally, I became a filmmaker.
I worked on big films that showed me the magic and I also saw the harm. Bulldozed sets. Burned costumes. Voices left out and the stories that took more than they gave.
But storytelling can be different. It can do good and can include. The way we create matters, because stories don’t just reflect the world. They shape it.
