🎀LEIGHTON HYDE 🎀
First Place Winner 🥇
Leighton, your story is so moving for all of us. You’ve shown what it truly means to fight, to rise, and to believe in yourself again. Through every workout, every check-in, and every moment of doubt you kept going. You’ve rebuilt your strength from the inside out, and your motivation has been nothing short of life-changing.
Getting to call you and hear your why was one of the most powerful moments of this challenge. After beating cancer, you chose to take on this next challenge not to prove anything to anyone else - but to yourself.
Hearing you say, “This is the best I’ve felt since before cancer,” stopped me in my tracks. It reminded all of us what life, purpose, and perseverance truly mean.
You’ve inspired an entire community, Leighton. You’ve reminded us that no matter what we face, we can always rise again. You are a survivor, a fighter, and now a champion. @leighton.hyde
Happy Memorial Day
From all of us at Do Work Factory, LifeMed Institute, and OC Fit🇺🇸
Every class begins with the National Anthem not just out of tradition, but out of deep respect. Today, especially, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
We don’t take that lightly.
We don’t take this life for granted.
Red, white, and blue isn’t just a color scheme it’s a symbol of unity, sacrifice, and strength. The same values we carry into our classes, our coaching, and our community.
At Do Work Factory, we don’t just train
we serve.
We lift each other up, we push each other to grow, and we show up with purpose.
Today, we remember. 🙌
Today, we give thanks. 💪
And today, we keep doing the work together.
God bless our heroes, God bless this community and God bless America. 🇺🇸

Tonight’s class was SO good!! 🔥
Not 1 new song… but 3 new songs added to the mix tonight and you all absolutely CRUSHED them for your first time! Seeing everyone catch on, let loose and genuinely LOVE the new routines is why I do this 💃🏼💪🏼
We officially said bye bye to the dance battle for now 👀 (but you never know when it might make a comeback 😉). Making that change opened up room for some AMAZING songs and routines choreographed by yours truly and tonight’s energy proved it was all worth it!
So proud of this group every single week! The vibes, the effort, the energy… unmatched! 💜 @doworkfactory@goldsdundalk
🏋🏼♀️5 ways to keep workouts fresh and exciting 🏋🏼♀️
In the fitness world, there are only so many effective exercises. A common mistake we see is people trying to make up movements to avoid being repetitive, but there are actually plenty of ways to keep the foundational movements the same while still adding variety, challenge, and progression.
• Dropsets
Performing an exercise until fatigue, then immediately lowering the weight and continuing the set. This increases intensity, pushes muscles past their normal stopping point, and creates a serious burn without changing the movement itself.
• Tension holds
Holding a movement in its most challenging position for a few seconds keeps constant tension on the muscle. This improves control, endurance, and mind-to-muscle connection while making even simple exercises feel significantly harder.
• Tempo/interval changes
Changing the speed of a movement completely changes the stimulus. Slowing down the lowering phase, adding pauses, or speeding up the concentric portion can increase difficulty, and target muscles differently without needing a new exercise.
• Pulses
Small controlled movements at the hardest part of an exercise keep the muscle under constant tension. Pulses are great for increasing muscle fatigue and creating a deeper burn, especially in lower body movements.
• Single arm / single leg variations
Unilateral movements challenge balance, stability, and coordination while also helping identify and correct strength imbalances between sides. They often make lighter weights feel much more challenging.
Hope this was helpful and gave you some new ways to switch things up in your fitness routine while still sticking to the movements that work. Keeping training fun doesn’t always mean reinventing exercises — sometimes small changes make the biggest difference!!
Photo dump from this morning’s HIIT class! 📸
These ladies absolutely crushed it! I’m proud of every single person who shows up for this 5:30am class, they never back down from a challenge! 💪🏼
One thing unique about this class… it’s NEVER the same week after week (my regulars can definitely vouch for that 😉). Every workout pushes you to your limits in a new way, challenges you differently and reminds you just how strong and capable you really are! 🙌🏻
Watching everyone show up, put in the work and conquer new challenges every single week is the best part and worth every eye roll, pout, grunt that I get! Because when they leave, they feel accomplished! 👏🏼🔥 @doworkfactory@goldsdundalk
What I love about it this video the most are the smiles and the celebrations! Join us every Thursday morning for a 45 min HIIT class @goldsdundalk with @doworkfactory ! Can be modified to fit any fitness level! 💪🏼
