I remember standing around in boat parks a number of years back thinking… how is no one actually telling these stories?
There was so much good stuff happening. Proper racing, great people, clubs running on passion. And most of it just wasn’t being seen.
So alongside
@marcablett , I picked up a camera and we started Down Under Sail. No big plan, just a belief that this side of the sport deserved better coverage.
Over time it’s grown into something much bigger.
@fsr_industries joined in and together we built a crew. We’ve worked across events all over the country and overseas, and partnered with organisers who actually care about how their event is seen.
Now it’s pretty simple. We work with regattas to make sure the energy, the people and the moments actually come through. The kind of content that makes competitors feel part of it and makes others want to be there next time.
It’s been a pretty wild journey to get here. Yearbooks, running our own events, growing the crew, figuring it out as we went. Through COVID, through quiet periods, through the big moments too. A lot of learning, a lot of long days, and a lot of good people along the way.
Through it all, I like to think we’ve stayed true to who we are and how we want to do business. Working collaboratively, and just being good to deal with.
So if you’re running an event and want it to be seen properly, reach out. Always keen to chat.
