Meet Joshua Rigsby, the owner of Pretty Good Books! What started as a single shelf in a thrift store back in 2018 has grown into one of the most vibrant, essential spaces in the downtown footprint.
Joshua’s mission is simple: use books to bring people together. From deep-dive lecture series with Dr. Mary Ann Wilson to hosting 6th-grade researchers from Hillside Montessori and partnering with local racial trust-building organizations, this shop is proof that a business can be a heartbeat for the community. 🤝✨
Of course, no visit is complete without a greeting from Poe, the famous store cat! 🐈⬛ Whether he’s supervising the stacks or napping near the new arrivals, Poe is the unofficial mascot of the footprint and the best reading companion a customer could ask for.

The 2026 LaGrange Cycling Classic did not disappoint. No brakes, no room for error, and 100% intensity. The Pros put on a masterclass in Downtown LaGrange, pushing the limits through every turn and lighting up the straightaways.

For Aldo Ramirez, the downtown footprint has always been home. Having lived in LaGrange since he was just a toddler, Aldo's journey is a true family story. Alongside his business partner, Ryan Gatens, and with the support of his cousin Juan Pablo Sanchez (who many of you know from @casapirul24 ), Aldo is bringing a new flavor to the heart of the city: El Callejón GTO.
Every inch of the restaurant is a tribute to their home state of Guanajuato, Mexico. From the hand-painted street mural to the authentic homemade tortillas, it’s a piece of their heritage shared with the community they love.
To celebrate their new downtown home, Aldo and the team are hosting the Nacho Average Fun Run & Walk!
