Some of my favorite telephoto images shot over the past six years π
If you know me, then you probably realized the @sonyalpha 100-400 g master lens is on my camera body 90% of the time. For the past six years , it's been my go to lens for any and all adventures. Whether that be hauling it's heavy self up 11,0000 feet of elevation gain to capture the golden layers of the North Cascades to driving around the African bush in search of wildlife, this lens has truly meant everything to me.
This isn't an ad, it's just an appreciation post in honor of the new 100-400 f4.5 releasing and being stoked to get out and create again very soon! π
Truly nothing quite like an adventure to Alaska π

Moments from amongst the trees π
It's always a magical time when you take a moment to slow down and admire the trees. Whether it be your local maple blowing in the breeze or a towering redwood that disappears in the fog above, there's always some magical to admire about these living giants.
My love for nature was inspired greatly by the one and only Sir David Attenborough π
Growing up in Michigan where mountains do not loom overhead, great mammals don't prowl the streets of Detroit, and exotic creatures feel few and far between, I was drawn to the documentaries narrated by Attenborough. I dreamt of photographing the wildlife that exists in almost every corner of globe, from the glacially covered mountains of Aotearoa to the great wild bush of Namibia. Cheers to the living legend himself and the generations that he has inspired and will continue to inspire for the future.
I hope you all enjoy a few of these fleeting wildlife moments Ive been able to capture ππ½
A blissful day in the mountains π
Those rare days when the fog blankets the forest and meadows along the trail but settles below in the valleys just as you reach your final destination will forever be peak for me.
Hoping to experience some alpine magic very soon here in Washington π

Sometimes, it's hard not to compare yourself to others when youre on social media. The constantly looming imposter syndrome is ever present which casts a great shadow of doubt at times. I find myself dealing with this feeling of inadequacy often and I have to remind myself that we're all on our own paths in life and comparison is the quickest way to destroy your own sense of joy and fulfillment.
Here are a few reminders I find myself reiterating especially when I feel myself falling into a slump as a creative π
Hopefully this resonates with at least a few people and helps to make them feel a bit lighter mentally π
Otherworldly moments from around the globe π
I'm a day late for Star Wars day but I'm right in time for revenge of the fifth! Here's a few moments that felt like I had stepped into the landscapes from the universe of Star Wars ranging from the towering redwoods of California to the martian like landscapes of Namibia π
