For the 2026-2027 school year our Ambassadors of Change, Hannah and Imogen, will be working with our friends at @downsideupinc !
Part of their responsibilities include doing all the social media posts for our partnership with @be_caffeinated because for the month of May, 50 cents of EVERY SAMOA LATTE will go to support the important work Downside Up is going in our community.
This year, Hannah and Imogen will be helping Downside Up with creating social media and video content, as well as marketing materials. We’re excited to share more with you soon!

For years, families have told us the same thing:
Their children need a learning environment designed with them in mind — not one that asks them to fit into a system that was never built for them.
So we are building one.
Introducing The Willow School — a Downside Up program — opening in August in the greater Chattanooga area.
This program for preschool and elementary students is being created for children who benefit from a more personalized, supportive environment.
• 2:1 support
• Individualized learning plans
• Daily 1:1 academic time
• Significant time outside each day
We’ve already secured a preschool lead teacher and several additional staff members — all trusted, experienced individuals who have worked with Downside Up and are truly the best of the best.
We are continuing to thoughtfully build this program — including location and final logistics — and are taking great care to ensure the right environment for the children we will serve.

Last weekend was a beautiful reminder of the importance of friends, community, & a tribe —- they keep you going, walk with you through the storms, celebrate your successes, & remind you how to just be yourself. It was a weekend to connect, relax, & enjoy time with other mommas on the same journey. We laughed A LOT & cried some. We did yoga, art, breath work, vision boards, played games, took walks, napped, & just recharged our tank. Thanks to Gail Campbell, Merrie Beth Eubanks, & McKenna Menard for helping with all the things to make it happen 💛💛 thanks also to @susannebowlingarts , @kari.flowers.yoga , @healthwithhollee , & @theresependergrass for bringing all the creativity, love, & joy with your talents to make it a wonderful experience for our moms🎉🎉

World Down Syndrome Day is a moment that holds so much meaning in our hearts—a chance to reflect on a journey that has been both incredibly hard and unbelievably sweet all at once. Through Everett, we’ve experienced challenges we never expected, but also a depth of love, resilience, and joy we could have never imagined. We are beyond grateful for the support, encouragement, and kindness that has surrounded us, lifting us up on the toughest days and celebrating alongside us in the beautiful ones. The people we’ve met along the way—friends, families, and advocates—have become such an important part of our story, reminding us that we are never alone.
