The super happy fun day left the group chat. This Monday after a meeting, some projects and lunch courtesy of @hallofflameburgers - we did a team outing to @morganspatiowps to throw some axes! 🪓
Did you know you can find Downshift beer @wpsbar ? Grab a Snowday, grab an axe, have some fun! We sure did. 🍻
Filling our cups with the good times to come! 👉🏼Swipe for music and events this May at Riverside and Hidden Tap. 🍻
✨Not in Ruidoso? It’s the beginning of festival season for our team! Watch for us on the road around New Mexico this summer. If there’s a festival in your area you think we should consider, let us know! We’re always looking for fun, new events to add to our lineup. ✨
We said YES to PROM! 🤗 When @iceboxbrewing invited us to @exnovobrew Beer Prom, it was an immediate yes.
They came up for a collab brew day, and some fun, with us at Downshift Brewing Company last week. We’re proud to share that Beer Prom’s beneficiary is @clnabq , with a portion of proceeds supporting their work with children and families experiencing houselessness. Grab your tickets now to Beer Prom - May 30th from 5-9 PM in Albuquerque! 🍺✨
Where in the world is Downshift this week? ✈️ New Mexico to Philly 🍻
Jamey & Bobby spent the past few days at the Craft Brewers Conference in Philadelphia, connecting with brewers from across the country, learning from industry leaders, and building relationships with the partners and vendors that help push Craft forward.
This trip is a reminder of why we do what we do: to stay curious, keep learning, and grow the right way alongside a community that shares the same passion.
Bobby’s biggest takeaway came from a seminar with the COO of Karl Strauss Brewing Company (makers of his longtime favorite, Red Trolley) on self-distribution, the good and the bad. From launching a sales mission to scaling to 25 trucks and 30 reps, the biggest takeaway? Organic, intentional growth wins. And it’s reassuring to see our path isn’t all that different from where they started.
Other highlights: diving into nitrogen dosing technology (Irish Currency in a can? 👀), discovering a hop strain called Dolcita that smells like a freshly peeled orange, and an unforgettable tour of Yards Brewing Company, a system so massive it’s only running at a fraction of its capacity. To say we were blown away would be an understatement!
Our guys are heading home inspired, a little tired, and excited to put what they learned to work. 🍻
Would you do it for a Scooby Snack? 🐶🍻
Scooby Snacks | American IPA
6.4% ABV | 65 IBU
This West Coast IPA is loaded with classic American hops that deliver big dank, pine resin notes balanced by a strong bitterness. The finish is dry with a resinous bitterness. Zoinks!

Fun fact? I’ve been playing the drums since middle school and have played on the same stage as Deftones…20 years apart but let’s not get technical 😜
