The Hamilton Gardens Visitor Precinct project is progressing extremely well. One of the key milestone items within the project was the erection of the new Fern Court structure. Whilst not an everyday item to construct, we’re happy to report that with some well thought out planning and partner collaboration, the fabrication and erection of this has been completed without a hitch. Thanks to all involved.

Last Sunday Downey Construction Ltd's GM, Gavin McNabb took part in the John Walker Find Your Field of Dreams Foundation 2 Hour Race Track Run at Hampton Downs.
The John Walker Find Your Field of Dreams Foundation's aim is to positively impact the lives of young people in Auckland's areas of greatest needs by providing them with opportunities to live healthy, active lifestyles and pursue a positive pathway through sport and physical recreation, The 2 Hour Race Track Run's fundraising venture was targeted at providing over 18,000 primary school students with free Community Swim - Water Skills for Life lessons.
Sponsors donated over $1,100 in support of Gav for this charity.
Super proud of Gav with his 10 laps of the race track - his commitment to his training certainly paid off.
Next year we hope to be able to get a team together to walk and/or run the laps - not that we'll all be doing 10 laps though, that's really impressive!
