𝑰𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔
150g plain chocolate
100g butter
200g caster sugar
100g Doves Farm Organic Self Raising White Flour
3 eggs
butter, for tray
icing sugar, for dusting
ㅤ
𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒅
ㅤ
180°C, Fan 160°C, 350°F, Gas 4
1. Pre-heat the oven.
2. Rub some butter around the inside of a 20 x 26cm/8 × 10″ baking tray or insert a baking liner.
3. Gently melt together the chocolate and butter.
4. Put the sugar and flour into another bowl and blend together.
5. Break the eggs into the bowl and beat well.
6. Stir in the melted chocolate and butter.
7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tray.
8. Bake for 20-30 minutes depending on how soft and squidgy you want the brownies to be. Look through the oven window or carefully open the oven door after 20 minutes to decide.
9. Dust the cooked brownie with icing sugar and cut into squares or slices.

𝑰𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔
150g Doves Farm Organic White Spelt Flour
½ tsp Doves Farm Bicarbonate of Soda
1 egg
100g soft brown sugar
100g natural yoghurt
75ml oil
1 tbsp vanilla extract
oil, for tin
50g icing sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract

𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒅
ㅤ
180°C, Fan 160°C, 350°F, Gas 4
ㅤ
Vanilla Cake
1. Pre-heat the oven.
2. Rub some oil around the inside of 1kg/2lb loaf tin.
3. Measure the flour and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl, stir to combine and sieve into another bowl.
4. Break the egg into a mixing bowl.
5. Add the sugar, yoghurt, oil and vanilla extract and beat well.
6. Tip the flour blend into the bowl and stir until combined.
7. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
9. Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin.
10. When cold turn the cake out onto a wire rack.

Vanilla Icing
1. Weigh the icing sugar into a mixing bowl.
2. Add the vanilla extract and stir to make the icing.
3. Using a teaspoon, drizzle the icing in zig zags up and down the cold cake.
4. Leave until the icing to set then store cake in a tin.

Whether you’re making a savoury quiche or a sweet tart, mastering this classic recipe is the perfect place to begin. With just a handful of ingredients, it’s all about technique, patience, and enjoying the process.

𝑰𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔
200g Doves Farm Organic Plain White Flour
Pinch of salt
100g butter
7–9 tbsp cold water
Butter, for dish
Flour, for dusting
ㅤ
𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒅
ㅤ
180°C, Fan 160°C, 350°F, Gas 4
1. Pre-heat the oven.
2. Rub a little butter around the inside of your dish or tin.
3. Measure the flour into a mixing bowl and add a pinch of salt if you are making a savoury recipe.
4. Chop the butter into small cubes and add to the bowl.
5. Using a fork or pastry blender, work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
6. Stir in enough cold water to bring the mixture together into a soft dough.
7. Using your hands, gather into a smooth ball of pastry.
8. Lightly flour your work surface, place the dough in the centre and dust with flour.
9. Roll out into a circle around 5cm/2 inch larger than your dish and gently lift into place or press into the dish using your fingers.
10. Trim away any excess pastry from the edges.
11. Continue as per your chosen recipe.
