Jesuit church built in the 1600's in Lucerne. The Jesuits help the Catholic presents stay strong during reformation in the 1800's, preserving so many of the things we saw there. The beautiful paintings on the buildings and bridge would have been removed like they were in other places we visited.

Schloss Oberhofen Castle on Lake Thun. Built in the 1400's but later remodeled to 1800's style of wood work. Stone work and chaple are the only things left from the original build.

Musegg Towers and Defense wall built in the 1400's to defend Luncerne. The tallest tower is 14 stories up. We didn't go that high.

So many of these were destroyed throughout the places we visited during the reformation religious movement in the 1800's. I was great to see a church that was built in 900's here in Gunten still had one left.
