Walking into our wedding felt like stepping into a moment we’d both unknowingly been waiting for our whole lives. We picked “Forever” by Chris Brown because it said everything our hearts couldn’t put into words. Getting married on 8/8 — double infinity — our promise to love endlessly couldn’t have been more perfect. When the lyrics played “It’s like I waited my whole life for this one night,” it hit us in a way only we could understand… because we truly did. And “’Cause we only got one night” grounded us in the reminder to be fully present in our one wedding, our one magical moment. And the line “Me and you on the dance floor” was the full-circle moment of a lifetime. If you didn’t know — that’s how we met. On a dance floor. Now here we are, years later, having built a whole dance family and community around that love… making our grand entrance surrounded by the people who helped shape our story. The entrance became completely natural and unplanned — just us. Grabbing onto each other, spinning, jumping up and down, letting the excitement take over and fully soaking in the moment. And as the video ends with the lyric “Forever on the Dancefloor,” it sums up everything. Forever — in love, in life, and yes… on the dance floor. 🤍♾️

A few years ago, I met him on a dance floor. This past Friday, we finally shared the most beautiful dance as husband and wife. 💍✨ The little boy and little girl who spent years searching for love finally found it in each other… and now we’re officially Mr. & Mrs. 💕 We celebrated our love surrounded by the most incredible friends and family, and it truly was a dream come true. About a month ago, we were judging a competition in Knoxville, Tennessee and got the chance to meet Beth. Fast forward to this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee… and somehow dance brought us back together again 🤍 From competition floors to Broadway bars, one of the most beautiful things about this community is that no matter your role — instructor, judge, event director — at the end of the day, we’re all just dancers. And getting to share moments like this together is what it’s really all about. Thank you for sharing such a special dance and memory with us, Beth. Doug made finals in Intermediate Strictly at DNA this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee 🤠🔥 First time competing together with our friend Becky and we could not be more proud of them both. From the moment they stepped on the floor, they brought confidence, connection, and so much fun to every round. So proud of you two. 🙌

If you’re a dancer who constantly second-guesses yourself… this is for you. For the ones who feel like they’re behind. Like they’re not “good enough” yet. Like there’s still so much work to do. We get it — because we’ve been there too. As leaders in this community, we will always push growth. Always encourage you to level up, stay hungry, and keep evolving. But something just as important? We loved this match up. This past weekend, both Doug and Elena were matched up by Melody for a strictly competition at @dogwood_dance in VA. It’s always fun watching what two dancers can carry on the dance floor. They were both so complementary of one another and we are definitely here for it. I think we need to run this partnership back and do it again! What do you think? Where should they head next? @dougsanson @elenaoohlala
