The Cairns Launch of Big Trouble with Too Many Frogs was EPIC.
@douglasbot and I managed to pack out Event Cinema at Smithfield with a whole bunch of young readers, and even though - despite the noble efforts of famed Frog Mathematician @johannahmaza - we were unable to answer the long-pondered question ‘just how many frogs is too many frogs?’, we did do some incredible collaborative drawing on the big screen, and joined forces in a raucous frog symphony rendition of Blue Danube, signed a bajillion books and met some old friends and made a bunch of new ones too.
Thank you to @event_cinemas and @smithfieldshoppingcentre for being superlative hosts, to @_cairns_books for taking care of sales, @hardiegrantkids for marketing support and of course making this rad book and series possible, and the small army of supporters and helpers behind the scenes, doing all the bits I couldn’t because I was covered in frogs.
