This is the easiest & crispiest Peking Duck you can make in an air fryer that get’s you as close as you can to that legendary crispy skin. You also don’t need to roast an entire duck or blow air into a duck with a bike pump — that’s not a joke, that’s exactly what the traditional recipe calls for.

Cooking doesn’t need to be hard or complicated. Often, you’re simply looking for a recipe that gets you most of the way there with minimal effort, hence 80/20.
So I did a lot of homework, testing different seasonings, dry times, and cook times — and I think this is probably as close as you can ever get with simply an air fryer. Now to be perfectly clear, this method could never beat the real Peking duck you would find at a restaurant in Beijing — that would be a ridiculous claim, but it does give you remarkably crispy and delicious duck that will definitely satisfy your Peking duck craving.

Part 1 | Trying to impress my asian parents with fine dining 😅
Kiln is an up and coming fine dining restaurant in San Francisco and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my parents to the world of fine dining
It took a bit of convincing to get my dad to give it a go, cause… I mean come on, traditional asian parents and fine dining? like oil and water 😅
In the end, my parents really enjoyed the experience! Some of their favorites were the shima aji, spot prawn, and (of course) the Norwegian king crab. If you can tell, my parents have a soft spot for seafood 😂
Before leaving, the restaurant gave us gifts which included a cute Polaroid of us at dinner. Thanks for the excellent experience and beautiful memory @kilnsf !!

- herb roasted corn
- herb compound butter
- turkey dripping gravy
- fluffy mashed potatoes
This is my first year ever hosting friendsgiving, and also the first time ever making a whole turkey along with some classic thanksgiving dishes.
My parents weren’t big on thanksgiving turkey, most years we’d have steak, lobster, or even peking duck. but the post “leftover cranberry turkey mashed potato gravy stuffing” sandwich has convinced me it’s worth doing again next year
