A vintage collage workshop returns to douce on Friday 22nd May.
If you’ve not had a collage session before, it’s the most therapeutic past time... and Laura knows how to do it well! With a very popular workshop running in London for the past 5 years she is now based in Cambridge. @gooseglitters finds beautiful vintage magazines and books for you to flick through and get mindlessly creative!

Empty chair was created by Dean and Fred in memory of Rob who died last year. It offers a simple, welcoming space to honour those we have lost, share memories and connect with others who understand grief and loneliness. It is a chance to sit together talk openly, and keep the memory of loved ones alive.
The host will be wearing orange, so please feel free to come over, say hello and share as much or as little as you feel is right for you 🧡

Welcome to our Bring Your Own Vinyl Night. Little or no experience is welcome along with any of your favourite vinyls. From 1 song to 20 minutes, we’d love to hear your favourites and see you learn how to spin and mix from our DJ Rob! Arrive early to grab a time slot!
Kicking off at 7pm until late, totally free with a wide variety of drinks available at the bar.

Ok it made me a little emotional realising I’ve hosted over 150 (!) of my vintage collage workshops by now but I TRULY never ever leave the event nót impressed or inspired by everyone’s creations. you’ll have to swipe to see what I mean (and pls zoom in for all the finer details, the precise cutting, the perfect placements, the hidden references, the stunning colour schemes 🙏💘)
If you’re new here, it might help to know how this all began 😊 I’ve always been obsessed with old, vintage paper (the texture, the history, the craftsmanship, the sense that each page was once a real labour of love!) so it pained me to see huge stacks of books being thrown away just because they were no longer “perfect.” I started to repurpose them for my collage art and wanted to share these beautiful materials with others to shift the way we think about what we call “waste.” And that’s how the workshops were born, now 5 years ago 🩷 I’ve had the luck of hosting for small private groups as well as 100+ people, from corporate to community classes, all over London, from speedy 30min lunchbreak activations to 8 hour collage sessions. But one thing is always the same - I leave with a massive smile on my face, feeling inspired, so grateful, so impressed. In as little as two hours a stack of forgotten papers is transformed into an entirely new piece of art and the result is something so personal, completely unique, something truly special ✂️💘
