Memory Well is an emerging (best described as) grungegaze band hailing from the city of Orlando, FL. Josh, Jake, Ty, and Evan create a sound that is just as melodic as it is raw and restless. their songs crackle with layered guitars, aching vocals, and rhythms that never quite settle. with their first single being released back in 2023 - the band has since dropped three singles and released a six song EP called Almost Real - making the move from indie rock to their well-known mixture of grunge and shoegaze. since then they’ve recently embarked on their Almost Real EP Release Tour headlining cities from Hollywood to Gainesville. for those interested in exploring this band: an interview and a live recording of their song Rain Delay is coming out this week on Double Exposure’s youtube - you don’t wanna miss it Layout and photo editing by: @b.ratgirl photography & caption by: @aurinkoartss

Starting off Thursday we have Waterplant, miami-based rock band playing with Veta Ceti, Scattered Light, and Karla Scro at Savage Labs in Wynwood. Great place to go if you’re looking for some rock music to nod your head too. Friday has a lineup of local bands playing at American Legion with notable local groups like Saketrum, Forth Wall, No Forms, Vertigo and Snare. Saturday is MTV Unplugged at Tribe Tea Lounge in Margate so if you’re looking for something in the middle of Broward. We got rock bands all over so if you missed the concert on Thursday you don’t want to miss this. On Monday there is something going on. Had plans over the weekend and you really wanted to see a band? Worry not, Revelations is coming back home into Kelly’s Pub to end their Florida Tour 2025. graphics by: @b.ratgirl

had a real sit down with up and coming band Valentines X! they talk about the creation of their band to their newest single “In My Head” and how it was came to be. check it out with the link in bio! the up-and-coming alt-rock band Valentines X is a fusion of alt and indie rock with a hint of grunge. their new single, “In My Head,” leans into their indie side, while their debut track, “Unfazed,” showcases their heavier alt-rock roots. their sound pulls you in with electric guitar build-ups and saturated mixing that adds a distinct grit, complemented by pop-punk lyrics like “Space with me and you / memories that were never true.” Valentines X delivers heavy bass, and meaningful chords that keeps listeners coming back for more. when asked about their style, the band said, “Do we specialize in a specific sound? No.” meaning they’re a band you want to explore. this group is for anyone looking for synthy vocals, sonic textures and a deep baseline on the guitar and drums. recorded by: @aurinkoartss & @b.ratgirl edited by: @sableyed_ written by: @tquaesha - - - #localmagazine #sflmagazine #double22exposure #southflorida #southfloridaaltscene
