Alien Earth isn’t just an ordinary project I worked on. It truly changed how I see myself. Two years later, it still lives in my heart and inspires me to reach for new frontiers. This experience really showed me what is possible, and I try to remind myself every day that anything can be achieved if you take responsibility and allow experiences to enter your life. Without overthinking it, and by saying yes to something new and unknown. Because we all know that the greatest reward is on the other side of fear.
Being a Stand-In / Body double, for more than six months on this project taught me how movies are really made: framing, lighting, cinematography, and acting. I didn’t get to talk much with people on set (since everyone was busy working), but I learned and absorbed so much just by being there.
The best part was being surrounded by amazing people from all kinds of stories and backgrounds. Seeing Timothy Olyphant walking into the studio in the morning with a cup of tea, and watching the brilliant acting of Sydney Chandler, talking with Alex Lowther — all of it made me realize how lucky I was to witness this in person.
On this project, I met amazing people who I’m still in touch with. One of them is my roommate, Alex Embo. I remember our conversation: “One day we’ll tell our kids that we were here 😂.” Another person is Sabina, who supported my confidence in myself when I was losing it (thank you 🙏). And Khiri gave me the chance to listen to the walkie-talkie with five voices at once 💀.
I’ve no words to express my gratitude to Jane K. for giving me the opportunity to be part of this project. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, my friends ❤️
