I’m so honored, excited and grateful that my short film “ When Gaia Speaks” won the “Best of Festival” at the 4 R’s indie film festival by NC Climate Justice Collective. The theme this year was “Better Me, Better We” exploring the concept of how bettering and healing ourselves uplifts and helps to heal the collective. I can deeply relate to this concept as I learn, grow and heal as an artist, friend, community member and advocate. Creating art and films about environmental justice, about loving and protecting this planet, ourselves and each other feels vital and I am so grateful to do so with intention, sustainability and love at the core. Thank you to all of the filmmakers who shared their artistry and talents and for the NCCJC team for all that they do! I hope you do something loving and kind for yourself and the planet today🌍🌞🦋🌹✨🌻🌞❤️✨💫
