The EP’s title track, originally conceived in 2010 for the Irukandji Project at Collegio Armeno Moorat Raphael in Venice, Italy, invites listeners on a visceral underwater journey. Inspired by an encounter with the deadly Irukandji jellyfish (Medusa is the Italian Word for Jellyfish), the track encapsulates the surreal and treacherous beauty of the experience: the eerie serenity of the ocean depths, the searing pain of the sting, and ultimately, a transcendental embrace of peace through surrender. Nine years later, the track was revisited and reworked for presentation at the National Gallery of Prague during the Lunchmeat Festival in 2019, incorporating elements of Vince’s second music project, Vū. The Nent’s performance on the main stage featured his latest work, Neither, alongside other audiovisual pieces, including Medus_A. Finally, in 2025, Medus_A sees its official release as the landmark 70th entry in VūMantra Records‘ catalog. To make the occasion even more extraordinary, the absolute master of IDM, glitch, and downtempo music Access to Arasaka has crafted an exclusive remix. As a major influence on The Nent and the creation of this track, Access to Arasaka elevates the Medus_A EP to another dimension. Adding further depth to the release are remixes from VūMantra Records’ close collaborators: Tensioner delivers a precision-driven interpretation steeped in rhythmic complexity. Atiq weaves an otherworldly, haunting layer into the narrative. Eisheth combines a marching beat with industrial noise, creating an extreme banger. Hypocyrta Glabra contributes a unique blend of experimental textures and emotive depth. What an incredible debut IWD celebration in Berlin and the perfect way to end @psysisters_official IWD tour! 😍The energy was electric from start to finish, with our DJs keeping the dancefloor alive non-stop all the way through to 9am 🔊 The venue brought a nostalgic, underground squat vibe, and the Berlin crowd lived up to their reputation of being hardcore ravers! Today is Rob’s funeral. He passed away suddenly, just went to bed and didn’t wake up. No health worries or problems, he would be 40 in April. Life is so fragile and unfair. He was an amazing person , friend , brother son and uncle. I wish I could be in UK with my cosmic family @psibindi & @resh_media today and somehow I am. Love you guys and miss you 💚
