I debated posting this because a thought flashed through my mind to the effect of “I don’t want to upset anyone! And ruin my future chance to work with people!” — but that’s the climate of fear I think that is keeping many of us silent. And because of that, *I don’t think people realize what is at stake*. The simple fact is: I really enjoyed working with Paramount, I’m proud to have gotten Paramount an Emmy and Peabody nomination, but I really hope they don’t try to continue destroying our entire industry.
Critically exploring the true crime genre and viral vigilantism through the lens of To Catch a Predator, this Peabody-nominated documentary exposes how filmmakers, journalists, and audiences alike contribute to perpetuating cycles of harm—all in the name of entertainment.

saccharine alert - I’ve now spent ten whole years with this wonderful person who, around the time this picture was taken, persuaded me to take a couples horoscope quiz with her. the result made me nervous because even though I don’t believe in astrology the verdict already seemed true — it said we would be utterly doomed as a couple, on the count of us both being impossible — unless we both decided we would treat our love like a very challenging job we couldn’t fail at. that would be fine I thought, because we both work all the time and are both too stubborn to blink. of course, now we have a child far more stubborn than either of us, and this year has been a LOT with touring Predators around, and it’s not the easiest thing to talk about trauma far from home every day, so I’ve just been thinking about family a lot. what it means, how it does take an endless amount of work sometimes, and how it challenges us at our strongest and weakest joints. but I am quite lucky that I am with someone who loves *that* type of work as much as I do. happy anniversary to one of the best ones they ever made 🤍
