See you soon 🌊
Today, we ran the annual Bin Dhahi Memorial Pursuit Race. Ten boats found youth helms, rigged up, and headed onto the course to race in great sailing conditions!
The results:
🥉 Inner Pickle
🥈 Twister
🏆 Kanaloa
See you next weekend for the East to West Race!
And that’s Battle of the Squads!
What an amazing night, with awesome costumes, great routines, and a huge fun all round! 5 Squads battled it out, with RS Feva Squad performing ‘Under the Sea’, our ILCA Squad took on ‘Pirates of the Carribean’, the Opi Senior & Development Squad acting out their version of Madagascar, RS Tera & Opi Cadet Squad becoming Minions, and a rather questionable interation of Shrek 2 by the Instructor team.
The judges scored each performance on a variety of criteria, and the competition was tight; in the end, the RS Tera & Opi Cadet Squad won over judges and became our first Battle of the Squads champions!
Thank you to all the participants, parents, audience, staff, judges, prize sponsor @ferrerogroupglobal , and staff, for making it a great event!
Last weekend was certainly a weekend of two halves: light airs on Saturday, and beautiful sailing conditions on Sunday!
Over the 2 days, 77 boats (and kitefoilers) hit the water to compete in our Dinghy End of Season Regatta, sponsored by Freshly Foods. We were delighted to be joined by some sailors from other UAE clubs, which gave our competitors an extra challenge!
Congratulations to all the winners, and a huge thank you to Freshly Foods for sponsoring the last 3 weekends, our race team for all their hard work, and all the sailors for getting involved!
Battle of the Squads is coming to DOSC this Friday!
Get ready for an unforgettable evening as our squads go head to head, bringing the magic of movies to life. From high energy action, to laugh out loud comedy (and maybe a few emotional moments too), each group will take on a different film in their own unique way.
Each act will be judged by a panel of experts, who will have the difficult task of deciding the winner! Support your team, persuade the judges, and be part of the performance!
Huge thank you to Ferrero for supporting the competition with fantastic prizes - we’re sure our squads will love them
Featuring performances from:
Optimist Squads
RS Squad
ILCA Squad
+ a surprise act!

Our Keelboat End of Season Regatta, sponsored by Freshly Foods, took place in light breezes as the summer heat approached.
Day 1 saw inshore racing for IRC 1, 2, 3, and J22 fleets, while others sailed a coastal course south. Racing was delayed due to light winds and a strong windward tide, making for a challenging start. Conditions improved through the day, delivering close racing across the fleets.
Sunday brought coastal racing for all, with a more promising forecast. A reaching start tested timing and nerve, with spinnakers up—playing it safe was key to avoid costly early starts. The wind dropped on the approach to the first mark, with some crews even drifting backwards, before filling in to around 12 knots for the upwind leg, adding pressure for those further back.
In IRC 1, Nagini dominated, winning every race. Notorious secured second with consistent results, while Clair de Lune Jr took third on countback from Matrix.
IRC 2 was tightly contested, with just 4.5 points separating first and fourth. Bluey took the win with podium finishes in every race, followed by Kanaloa and Playmate. Twister narrowly missed out despite winning Sunday’s race.
Antares led IRC 3, winning all but one race. Chaos finished second with consistent seconds, and Jolly Jumper placed third.
Al Awal won IRC Cruiser with two coastal race victories, ahead of Songbird and Inner Pickle.
In the Multihull fleet, Triple Dutch edged Sabotage on countback after both finished on 6 points, with Naganoi third.
The final Freshly Foods End of Season Regatta takes place this weekend with the dinghy fleets. See you then ⛵
We kept the energy going all weekend, fuelling the action with premium, high-protein, 100% MDM-free meats straight off the grill. 🍔🥓 Keelboat Racing @doscuae didn’t slow down for two days. ⛵🌊
