In this exclusive interview with Punch Nigeria, published on 10th of May, 2026 for their special column, “Famous Parents,” I shared insights into the life of my father and my personal reflections on him. It’s a great read, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. The link is in my bio. /my-father-remained-committed-to-preserving-yoruba-culture-till-death-late-alaafins-daughter-princess-adedoja/

Yesterday, our father, Ọba Làmídi Ọláyíwolá Adéyemí III was honoured with a posthumous award by Silverbids Communications in recognition of his incredible contributions to the revered Alaafin throne. A moving documentary of his rich and purposeful reign was shown, a reminder of a king who carried the weight of tradition with dignity, wisdom, and unshaken pride. He was the very first to be honoured as the event commenced. The award was received with a wonderful acceptance speech and an emotional tribute delivered by our brother, Aremo Babatunde Israel Adeyemi, his first son. We are grateful to our siblings who stood tall to represent the family. The legacy lives on.
