DOOM COCOON (2021-2025) ☠️ 🪦 Hey! It’s us, the fellars from Doom Cocoon. Just wanted to say a few words before this account goes silent. This band started as a fun project between coworkers/friends that became something that we never expected, and for that we are all speechless. We are eternally grateful for our friends, family, and everyone in the local music scene/community. It’s because of the people, and always because of them. So we wanted to give a big DC smooch to anyone who has ever stood by us, been to a show, booked us to play a gig, recorded us, took a video or photo of us, bought merch or help us make it, made artwork for us, listened to our music, let us crash at your house, shared gear with us, or even asked about us. You made us what we became, so tysfm! 🫵😘 If you’re reading this and you’re a person who can play an instrument or five and you want to play live music, I hope that we have played a part in inspiring you to get involved in our local scene in some way. If we can do it so can you, and if you struggle alone then lean on your friends and the community. Don’t feel the need to be perfect, cause it’ll never feel perfect, but you’ll just keep getting better. 🐛 LAST SHOW ALERT!🐛 It is with our three heavy hearts that we must let YOU and the world know that Doom Cocoon is coming to an end. It’s been an amazing and unforgettable 5 years. From shows we’ve played, people we’ve met, and so many lessons and teachings learned along the way. We wouldn’t be here without our friends, family, and our local community. Big shout out to anyone and everyone that has supported us during our time as a band. 🥹🤝 Alright, alright, enough with the sappy bits. We’ve got one more show for you at the most psychedelic establishment in between east van and mount pleasant. We’ll be playing our VERY last show @the_lido on Monday September 15th. We couldn’t think of a better spot for the occasion. It’s a very special place for the three of us and our favourite bar in Vancouver.
