We are still not over the outpouring of love and support from everyone on Sunday, May 10, when @dont.interrupt.while.we.dance was screened at Kala Kendra, Dehradun.
The film screening sparked an insightful discussion on the Trans Act 2026. The attendees shared their experience navigating their physical and mental health ever since the Trans Act came into force.
The discussion was followed by a range of performances by queer-trans artists and allies in Dehradun. Visual Artists also showcased their work through an exhibition.
We are hoping that we continue to come together, sing, dance, write, paint -- basically express ourselves fully. After all, our self-expression has the power to change the world around us.

Super stoked to collaborate with @dont.interrupt.while.we.dance in their screening tour. Our film will be playing as a part of their event in Shimla!
These screenings are being organised to further the resistance against the Trans Act 2026 which tries to invalidate trans and non-binary identities and is taking us backwards in time and justice. Join the event for conversations around such laws and how we need to stand together in resisting such deplorable policies being thrust upon us.
Thank you @alooreet@geetanjalikalta for organising this.
Taj ke Saat Rang continues to slowly grow through conversations, gatherings, performances, and people coming together to hold space for stories often left unheard. ЁЯМ┐
As part of the third gathering, teesra rang - Surkh Laal - the color of protest , leading up to the larger Taj ke Saat Rang festival on 27тАУ28 June, the team of DonтАЩt Interrupt While we Dance came to Agra and stayed with us at Kala Kutir for a day of shared experiences across the city.
The day began with a walk and photoshoot through Agra, and unfolded into an evening of film, poetry, dance, music, and conversation. Alongside the screening of DonтАЩt Interrupt While we Dance, we had moving performances by poets, dancers, and The Aavhaan Project, creating a space of reflection, expression, and community.
More than events, these gatherings are becoming moments of exchange, vulnerability, and collective presence as we move towards Taj ke Saat Rang 2026. тЬи
