From Page to Stage, a three-day songwriting workshop, brought around 30 songwriters to downtown Northampton for an inspiring weekend with Heather Maloney.
With instructors Kimaya Diggs and Don Mitchell, and workshop leaders Jake Klar and Chris Freeman, participants honed their craft; refining songs, building confidence on stage, finding sources of inspiration, learning how to promote themselves as artists, and more.
The workshop culminated in a special songwriter showcase at The Parlor Room during Back Porch Fest, where the group brought their work from page to stage for an audience.

I could never have imagined just how much joy & connection I’d stumble into making a record that deals with loss.
I have never felt more elation on stage, more embodied in the studio, more honored to have been on the receiving end of so many of your grief stories (after shows, in messages and DMs)…
Somehow it all felt like my dad’s final and greatest gift to me—that loss could be such a doorway.
