Colquitz Creek Bridge | Highway 1 Upgrades 🚧
Crews are back on site at the Colquitz Creek Bridge project as work continues on this major Highway 1 upgrade through Victoria.
The project is focused on improving traffic flow, strengthening the corridor, and helping create a smoother commute for drivers travelling through the area every day.
It’s also great seeing the environmental side of the project moving forward with upgrades designed to help protect the surrounding creek and habitat long term.

Our crews are on site at 450 Dallas continuing civil work alongside @aryzedevelopments
Today’s scope focused on preparing the site for a hydro vault/junction box installation, with @viccitycrane bringing in a mobile crane to help safely lift and position the precast box into place.
These underground vaults play an important role in housing and protecting electrical infrastructure while helping keep services organized and accessible as the project moves forward.
Colquitz Creek Bridge | Back on Site 🚧
Our crews are back working at the Colquitz Creek Bridge project as improvements continue along this important section of Highway 1 in Victoria.
The project will help improve traffic flow, strengthen the existing bridges, and create a more reliable connection for commuters travelling through the corridor each day.
Along with the infrastructure upgrades, the project also includes environmental improvements focused on protecting the surrounding Colquitz River habitat and improving water quality in the area.

450 Dallas | Heavy Lift Day 🏗️
Big move on site today at 450 Dallas as crews prepared for the installation of a new hydro vault alongside @aryzedevelopments
With support from @viccitycrane , the precast junction box was carefully lifted and set into place as underground servicing work continues to move forward.
These vaults help support and protect critical electrical infrastructure below grade while keeping future access efficient for servicing and connections.
Always cool seeing the coordination that goes into these larger lifts on tight urban sites.

We’ve partnered with @islandasphaltgroup to handle both the milling and paving along the Cook Street upgrade.
The first phase is already underway, with crews milling out the existing roadway to reset the surface and prep it properly for new asphalt. Paving began this week on this important corridor.
