Zagreb skate hall - Concept proposal 👀
Some early visuals for an indoor skatepark designed around an affordable warehouse typology, while still creating a distinct architectural identity. The facade uses polycarbonate panels to bring in soft natural light
and give the building a unique character.
Since skateparks don't require high indoor temperatures, the building is conceived to be as cost-efficient as an industrial storage facility. Essential amenitiessuch as toilets and service spaces--are housed within an insulated, repurposed shipping container positioned at the entrance.
The layout features a permanent bowl and micro ramp, while the street section is built around a flexible central zone. This allows obstacl es and configurations to evolve over time, keeping the park dynamic and engaging. It also opens up opportunities for real community participation, giving local skaters a sense of ownership in shaping their space.
This concept is being developed for @tonbecrew , @skateboard_klub_shpaolin and rest of the local community in Zagreb. The goal is
to spark momentum toward a modem indoor skatepark that #zagreb truly deserves.
