Before I met Mollie, I carried a lot of judgment in my heart. My last relationship ended with an episode so disgusting that I was forced to face my evil and selfishness. I gave up on love, refused to date and isolated myself for a few years. I spent that time honing in on what has been my light since I was a child; my connection to music and the gift of purpose it provides.
I craved the work in an obsessed way. I learned every instrument I could and how to produce my own music. I left my accounting gig so I could tour, did every job I could on the road and tried to do my best. I failed at times, but I remained accountable. I didn’t care that I wasn’t playing music on stage because my goal was to learn that life wasn’t about me, it was about service to others. I needed to be certain that I was growing closer to truth and further from facades.
This self appointed apprenticeship not only worked, it brought me an unexpected revelation; synchronicity, karma, the one true power. I immediately felt brand new. I forgave myself for past embarrassments. I started being a more vulnerable and empathetic person. Soon after I met Blake and joined Disembodied Tyrant. I felt blessed, unaware that the true blessing would walk into my life unexpectedly. A mentor. Someone who made my work look like kindergarten.
Resilient. Courageous. Tolerant. Insightful. Radiant.
Just a few words to describe Mollie, the most incredible person I have ever met. I am in awe of her constantly. She faces fear with adversity. At deaths doorstep, she shows unconditional love. I have fundamentally changed the way I view myself, the concept of true love, my conditioning, and the world around me because of the examples she continues to set. She validates the work I do on myself. She is a flawed yet faithful person who stands tall via authentic connection to the big ideas that connect us all. I find her absolutely perfect. She embodies how I want to be. I didn’t think twice when considering her as my life partner, and tomorrow I’m moving across the country to be with her. Wanting a good life for her is my dream.
