The reception of the LS/LT Ultim8HP Bellhousing Kit went viral to say the least. We are over the moon with all the feedback we received. We have received a lot of questions through DMs and we would like to answer a few of them. Q: How much shorter does the transmission become with the Ultim8HP? A: 22.5mm Q: How much space is gained around the bellhousing? A: The attached pictures visualize the gain of using our Ultim8HP bell housing where you gain several centimeters all around. The old Dodge bell is big and bulky and the Ultim8HP bell is reduced to its minimum as soon as it clears the starter ring gear. Q: How precise does the cut needs to be? A: The cut is merely aesthetic and it does not depend on any sealing planes. So getting the cut line a little bit off is not end of the world. Q: Is there any instructions available? A: We have just finished shooting our installation video. Which hopefully will be released in a few weeks. Covering all necessary steps. Q: Is the Ultim8HP cast or billet? A: This is a full billet piece, starts as a 90kg raw aluminum piece and ends up at 5kg when finished. The finished product gets vapor blasted and grey anodized to get the cast look. But it is indeed billet! Billet is superior in basically all technical aspects compared to a cast piece. Thank you for you all the kind words and interest regarding this launch. The newest addition to the Ultim8HP Bellhousing lineup is now done and ready! The Chevy LS/LT available for both 6- and 8-bolt crankshafts. Available for both BMW and Dodge 8HP70/75/76, small and large converter spigot diameters. Includeing our billet Ultim8HP flex plate! The first units has already been shipped to customers who made the pre-order, and this specific one has been installed to a Dodge 8HP70 RAM 1500. All done and ready to ship to a soon happy customer. Comes all mounting hardware required to make the swap! We also just finished shooting the installation guideline video that will be released in a few weeks that will guide you through every step, all from preparation, cutting and final assembly. Tested the @turbolamik.us 8HP virtual clutch pedal last week and gave a quick rundown on how it works. Full video on the @drift.hq main channel. Also used it as an excuse to test high boost + anti-lag in the rain… ended up spinning into 5th gear.
