I used to look forward to all you can eats and now I look forward to the next swell🌊 while staying in the best shape of my life. everyday is a struggle to maintain a healthy routine and not go back to who and what I used to be, but the struggle is what makes it all worth it. The sleepless nights, the body aches, the progression and even the close calls I've had in the water keep me feeling ALIVE. I often share my transformation in hopes that it will inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle and find a routine that works for them. For me, it started when I fell in love with bodysurfing and becoming more active in the ocean during the pandemic. I would surf almost everyday for hours until my legs would cramp. I always had healthy snacks on me and would even cook on the beach sometimes after a session never letting myself get too hungry. My friends would often poke fun at me for bringing dried figs to snack on (haha). I would stick to healthy fruits, Veggies & High Protein foods mainly. I cut out a lot of fast food & would often cook at home. I looked at food as fuel for the body and I would only consume with purpose. This wasn't a diet. It became routine. A Lifestyle. I started seeing the pounds come off and how much more energy I had. I went from a size 44" waist to 32". Through this journey and while doing what I Love, I've met so many amazing people that inspire me to wake up early and start the day with them in the water. It’s been 48 days, and the current has taken me back to where I started. This time, for a greater purpose ...a greater journey. Every day is a constant reminder that blood is thicker than water and that nothing is forever. I do miss paradise, community, and being bonded by water, but I know I’m where I should be.
