#STRIDENATION When @tsc_trendsettas 614 chapter started it built a bridge through Ohio. It has officially been a decade (10 years) since we did this project. Originally a school project for @bee1ne_ at @ccadedu in 2015 later became a full concept flushed out with some of Columbus Ohio realest and truest striders in 2016. This project was created to show the love and passion for rollerskating in general but the target audience is Ohio. Much love and respect to ALL that represent Ohio rollerskating culture. Grateful is an understatement. 🙏🏾✨ Huge thank you to @raychelle3 and @agapecareohio for the intentional invitation to bring @dolphinblackstudios @therego_meech , @bee1ne_ into the space for a powerful hands on workshop experience. We had the opportunity to build with the youth on the history and cultural influences of footwear in fashion from streetwear roots to music, art, and identity; and break down the foundations of shoe customization, from prep work to creative execution. 👟🎨 It’s bigger than shoes. It’s about storytelling, self-expression, and understanding how style connects to culture and community. Fatherhood didn’t come with a manual for me. I grew up without a blueprint to show me how to navigate these moments, so a lot of this journey has been faith, trial, prayer, and love. My son, Lil Bee 🐝, is 14 now and on the autism spectrum. We’re stepping into some of the more challenging years of life together. There are days I don’t know what’s next, days I question if I’m doing enough or doing it right. But what I do know is this: love shows up even when answers don’t. 💙 This piece reflects that journey, the spark plug over the brain 🧠 represents ignition, possibility, and the power of imagination and thought.
