Woke up before @alextharippa_ yesterday and I was cleaning up the air b n b… I found his GI. After about 15 minutes of contemplating whether or not I should try it on, I eventually said fuck it and put it on, I wanted to know what if felt like to be a second degree brown belt for a couple minutes. I wrote and recorded this song when I was 19, I was so lost. Shit I’m still so lost at 27.
It only seemed fitting to make a video and bring this song to life. I’ve battled and battled through these days for so long, I’m so proud to be able to say I’m still here everyday to see the next sunrise. It doesn’t matter how scarred, bruised or battered you are, all that matters is you are still here, and still fighting. There is a light at the end of that tunnel.
My favourite quote comes from Martin Luther King Jr. and it states “faith is taking the first step while not seeing the whole staircase”
