Sponsor dog Lucy Longlegs spent 1160 days in our care at @Dogstrust_westcalderanddundee ⁣ ⁣ For Lucy Longlegs, being a Sponsor Dog was key to her finding her ‘pawfect’ match with a couple who have been sponsoring Dogs Trust dogs for nearly 15 years. After receiving a summer update- Lucy's adopters (who lived 100 miles away) arranged to meet her.⁣ ⁣ They visited her at the centre and fell in love- she was finally ready to pack her yellow bag. Her adopters say “Lucy is doing amazingly well and has brought much joy to our lives. She has the loveliest nature. You may remember a large scale rescue operation earlier this year- with 250 dogs being removed from one home. Willow was one of those dogs and arrived at @dogstrust_Westlondon ⁣ ⁣ With little life experience, she was a nervous girl. The world was new to her, so we took things at her pace- allowing her to build confidence slowly.⁣ ⁣ Soon, it was time for her to meet her forever family. “We were warned about how timid and frightened they all were and understandably so. Buster was born in our care at @dogstrust_leeds in 2024 and was adopted at 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, over time he became more anxious and the hard decision was made to return him. The team have worked on building his confidence, working on routine and meeting new people.
