Could you be the kind of person that one of our dogs is looking for? 🥹 We currently have hundreds of dogs in our care, who are ready to meet someone like you.
The dogs we've included in this post are affectionately known as 'Underdogs', as they have been waiting to be swept off their paws for some time now. In many cases, all they need is someone who has love and time to give. If you’re ready to adopt, please consider an Underdog. Link in bio for more info 🐶

Image 2: A black dog is sitting indoors and giving paw to the person holding the camera. Text reads 'Opie Leeds. You should adopt him because...
You have a peaceful adult-only home and are looking for an affectionate, clever companion to join you in life.'
Image 3: A brown and white dog is standing outside. Text reads 'Amber Darlington. You should adopt her because...
You have older children - or just adults in the home. Amber loves to snuggle up on the sofa for movie nights, are you looking for a new pal to binge Netflix with?'
Image 4: A black scruffy dog is standing in a field on a sunny day. Text reads 'Scampi West Calder. You should adopt him because..
You have experience with dogs and can give Scampi time before he shows you his cheeky personality. If you have space in your home for Scampi’s very own armchair, he could be the pooch for you!'
Image 5: A black and white dog is sitting on a sofa indoors looking animated. Text reads 'Nova Glasgow. You should adopt her because...
You have the time and patience to help young and sometimes nervous Nova to thrive. She’d love a home with some squeaky toys and an adopter who lets her play in puddles!'
Image 6: A black and brown dog is standing outside on lead. Text reads 'Olly Ballymena. You should adopt him because...
You have a quiet, rural home with a garden and have the patience to help settle in this lovely boy who has spent most of his life in kennels.']

Sponsor dog Lucy Longlegs spent 1160 days in our care at @Dogstrust_westcalderanddundee
For Lucy Longlegs, being a Sponsor Dog was key to her finding her ‘pawfect’ match with a couple who have been sponsoring Dogs Trust dogs for nearly 15 years. After receiving a summer update- Lucy's adopters (who lived 100 miles away) arranged to meet her.
They visited her at the centre and fell in love- she was finally ready to pack her yellow bag. Her adopters say “Lucy is doing amazingly well and has brought much joy to our lives. She has the loveliest nature. She is a more confident dog now, and we adore her.”

You may remember a large scale rescue operation earlier this year- with 250 dogs being removed from one home. Willow was one of those dogs and arrived at @dogstrust_Westlondon
With little life experience, she was a nervous girl. The world was new to her, so we took things at her pace- allowing her to build confidence slowly.
Soon, it was time for her to meet her forever family. “We were warned about how timid and frightened they all were and understandably so. On our first meeting we didn’t really know what to expect but she seemed to choose us as she seemed quite happy to meet us so that was it…it was love at first sight.
From her very first nervous steps out of the Dogs Trust to her first holiday on Dartmoor and running free on the beach, it’s absolutely amazing to see how Willow has taken everything in her stride and is now a confident, happy, friendly, playful and an inquisitive dog.”
