A fresh batch of @gratefuldead Citrus Daydream Lager is in the tanks ... and today we’re adding the black limes! These pungent, sundried fruits actually start as fresh limes that are then boiled in salt water, plunged into freezing water and left to dry, becoming rock-hard and golf ball sized. Much like making a cup of tea, the limes are added to the whirlpool in a basket, delivering the perfect splash of tart citrus to this crisp lager. 🍋🟩🍻⚡️

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery has been partnering with Grateful Dead on specialty beers since 2013's American Beauty Pale Ale. In April, @dogfishhead released Citrus Daydream Lager, its fifth collaborative brew with the band. Inc. joined Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione for a release party at New York City's @brooklynbowl that featured live music from Grateful Dead cover band @bushwicksdead and lots of beer and bowling.
Everything we do started with a single homebrew. So when our coworkers brew something special, we pay attention. Through our homebrew competition, Tom Bastian, the general manager at our Milton Brewery, brought to life Unlucky Wizard, an unfiltered IPA we’ve loved enough to brew more than once. It’s back on draft in Milton right now if you want to give one of our favorite homebrews-turned-brewery beers a taste. 🍻 @visitdogfish

Daydreaming of a crisp Michelada on this Cinco de Mayo ... and we’ve got the perfect lager for one! Just add a little tomato juice, lime juice, clam juice, Worcestershire and hot sauce to a @gratefuldead Citrus Daydream Lager and you’re in business. 🍻
Full recipe 👇
1 can Grateful Dead Citrus Daydream Lager
2 oz tomato juicy
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 tsp clam juice
1 tsp hot saue
1 tbsp lime juice
Pinch of celery salt (can use regular salt, too)
Directions:
1. Rim a pint glass with lime juice and tajin.
2. Combine all ingredients, except the beer, in the bottom of a pint glass.
3. Fill the glass 2/3 of the way with Grateful Dead Citrus Daydream Lager.
4. Top with ice & enjoy!
