Cultura material = Valor global convierte el museo en empresa y su colección en activos financieros. Cada objeto deviene recurso especulativo, conectado a mercados internacionales en tiempo real, exponiendo cómo la cultura queda subordinada a la lógica neoliberal, donde todo se mide, se compara y se vende. El proyecto transforma el museo en una infraestructura de cálculo y extracción: las piezas dejan de conservarse para cotizar según el peso y valor de los materiales que las componen. La exposición no representa una ficción futura, sino un sistema ya operativo, donde la cultura funciona como reserva de valor dentro de la economía global. Each object becomes a speculative resource connected to global markets in real time, revealing how culture is subordinated to neoliberal logic, where everything is measured, compared, and sold. The project transforms the museum into an infrastructure of calculation and extraction: objects no longer preserve history but fluctuate according to the market value of the materials they contain. The exhibition does not speculate about a future scenario, but exposes a system already in operation, where culture functions as a reserve of value within the global economy.

COMISARIO _Saúl Baeza is @does.work and @maybe.asap Creative Director, and @visionsbymagazine Founder and Editor-in-chief. He holds a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology with the thesis Performing Surveillance: Designing identity prostheses as tools for algorithmic resistance. He is part of the “Making With...” Research Group (TU Eindhoven) and Elisava Research. Saul is Co-Director of the Master in Design for Emergent Futures (MDEF), organised by Elisava and IAAC in collaboration with the Fab Academy. He has been a visiting professor and lecturer at institutions including Harvard GSD, Central Saint Martins, London College of Communication, RMIT University Melbourne, Rhode Island School of Design, and Estonian Academy of the Arts, as well as cultural platforms such as Sónar+D, Victoria & Albert Museum, CCCB and DHUB. In today’s battle for perception, gaming becomes an intrusive tactic in the war of images. About being an “influencer” or how to exploit the tool of the oppressor for our own expression 2023 ABSTRACT Surveillance is at the core of today’s monitored society. Privacy is becoming a fluid regulatory process the values and expectations of which are being actively rewritten, deconstructed, reconstructed and negotiated as new technologies open up novel forms of social relations and identity construction opportunities. Our proposal is based on using our bodies as tools for identity expression and personal proclamation, seeking to pervert surveillance and its embodied data as a site for opportunity, disruption and resistance. We asked XXX, a writer and journalist, to work with us on a design exploration, to understand new implications of what being an “influencer” means by shaping identities through technologies in an extreme way. After analyzing some of the most commonly employed surveillance technologies worldwide and the main biometric parameters used to monitor the human body, we came up with a series of prostheses and garments in order to exploit XXX’s algorithmic presence.
